The Eighteenth-Layer Prison

At Starfield Prison, Guen first handed over the Ape-man criminals to be sentenced, tossing Wumeng in with them only because he was interested in him. After all, there weren't many human geniuses who had ever been imprisoned.

Guen went straight to visit Prison Venerable.

"Guen, the Demon Lord knew you were coming and said you could use the Eighteenth Layer directly. It won't be much different from having him handle it himself." In the great hall, a Universe Venerable of the Minotaur race was already waiting for Guen. He was Prison Venerable's right-hand man. Venerable Quniu, who was likewise independent of the five major factions, had come to receive Guen.

"You're welcome." Venerable Quniu led Guen toward the Eighteenth Layer of Starfield Prison, introducing it along the way. "Starfield Prison is now divided into an upper and lower section. The lower section is less well known, and the Eighteenth Layer was only recently completed. The earlier layers of Starfield Prison give prisoners space to move around, but this one doesn't.

"This is the Abyss of Sin-Eating, one of the Eighteenth Layer's nine sealed zones. Prisoners are sent here to serve their sentences."

Venerable Quniu led Guen into the Eighteenth Layer of Starfield Prison, a space of absolute darkness. Even a Universe Venerable would be plunged into darkness in this stretch of space. The Universe Origin's response here was already extremely faint, and one could only sense it slightly by focusing. Venerable Quniu held up some kind of torch to illuminate the surroundings, revealing a radius of one light-year. Guen couldn't help taking another couple of looks before turning his attention to the Abyss of Sin-Eating below.
