Besides absorbing and sealing its targets, a sealing treasure also had to suppress and prevent any life within it from trying to self-destruct. Otherwise, how could it be said to suppress them?

Forget the undying and the Venerables—even a lowly Domain Lord, once they controlled their life's singularity, the source of all their vitality, could destroy themselves when necessary. One reason chip slaves could usually control only lifeforms up to the highest levels of the Universe-level was that their singularities could not be controlled. Beyond that, their consciousness could no longer be affected through their bodies.

As long as a lifeform could destroy itself, even a slave was unsafe. So one basic requirement for a sealing-type Heavy Treasure was that it could suppress a lifeform and prevent it from self-destructing. Even so, as long as the lifeform's will was strong enough, it could resist this influence. Such lifeforms were exceedingly rare, though. Still, Guen wouldn't dare use Soul Control inside Jiehai Tower. A single moment of lucidity could be enough for the tower to lose its hold on a Universe Venerable. After all, a Venerable Level consciousness was immense.

Clearly, Blood Steed Venerable did not fall into that category—or, at least, not into the category of those able to break free of Still Water Star's sealing influence.

With Venerable Quniu's help in granting him access, his Void God Power was only weakly affected by Still Water Star, even when it entered the Eighteenth Layer Prison. The more he examined it, the more he felt it was a Supreme Treasure.
