With the great war drawing to a close, Guen had spent the last stretch of time refining a treasure in Jiehai Tower. The universe had been far too unsettled lately. Many Universe Venerables had been innocently swept away by the aftershocks the moment they ventured outside; nowhere was safer than home.

Seeing that Guen was distracted while handling the materials, the Headless Energy Body asked, "What's wrong? You don't seem very focused."

"The war's over. The storm was so fierce, yet ten eras feel like a very, very long time to me," Guen said with a sigh.

"It wasn't a storm," the Headless Energy Body said indifferently. "Only a dozen or so Universe Masters died. You call that a great war?"

"Many Universe Masters lost their clones, and many origin-type treasures were completely used up. Isn't that enough to call it a war?" Guen disagreed.

"I told you, it wasn't a war. How many Universe Masters did your humanity lose? How many did the Monster Race lose? How many Universe Masters died in the Northern Territory Alliance and the Ancestor God Sect?" The Headless Energy Body's sharp questions immediately set Guen thinking, but it wasn't about to let him off the hook. "It was just a scheme to kill off those troublesome Universe Masters and deplete the universe's overall stock of high-level resources, making most Universe Masters unable to resist seeking a powerful patron.

"The greatest significance of this war was making the Universe Masters realize they could fall. More importantly, it cleared out the stockpile of origin-type treasures. That was the only tangible result of this war. Without enough origin-type treasures, even Universe Masters would feel less secure to some degree.
