"Why are you asking about that?" Old Man asked Su Ye slowly.
"With something this big happening in The Empire, I ought to think of a solution. Otherwise, people might think I'm getting paid to do nothing," Su Ye said casually.
"So you do know," Old Man said irritably.
"Hm? What do you mean by that, Old Man? Did someone report me?" Su Ye asked, curious.
That shouldn't be possible. I've always treated people well. What troublemaker is trying to get me?
"Report you? They're practically asking for your arrest. Do you have any idea how many complaints have been filed against you?" Old Man snapped.
"How many?" Su Ye asked.
"If it isn't every other day, it's close to one a day. And none of them even repeat themselves," Old Man said irritably.
Su Ye: ...
Are my relationships really that bad? I thought I was getting along with people just fine.
"Who is it? Who's got the nerve?" Su Ye was getting annoyed. He showed up to work and left on time every day, and even did good deeds.
Who is it? Who's shameless enough to report me every day?
"Who do you think? Those complaints can't do much. They're mainly meant to get under your skin," Old Man said.
Su Ye was speechless. The tactic really was irritating.
But judging by Old Man's expression, it probably wasn't serious. Otherwise, Su Ye would have been removed from his post already.
"Hold on, Old Man. Isn't this position reserved for one of us? Why is someone eyeing it?" Su Ye asked.
Old Man rolled his eyes. What do you mean, 'reserved for one of us'? You make it sound awful. It's a miracle you've lived this long with that mouth.
