She works primarily with machinery and can perform mechanical modification, including creating mechanical servants modified with flesh and blood; however, she requires a research institute to support such work. She regards the territory's members as companions but warns Su Ye about the dangerous “lunatics” associated with technology-virus, genetic, and modification branches. 58

Su Ye later supports her research plans despite the major resource cost of a primary Technology Research Institute. Xi Yue also offers to design an Automatic Factory Blueprint and studies the White Stockings and Green Gene Serum blueprints at his request. 60
