Early the next morning, Beichen Haotian was doing his usual exercises in the courtyard when the Third Hokage sent someone to notify him.
After greeting Pakura, Beichen Haotian went to the Hokage Building office to meet the Third Hokage.
"Haotian, you're here? The people selected for you are ready—twenty in total. They're all elites chosen from the Anbu and Root, each with the strength of a Jonin. I hope you can lead them in dealing a crushing blow to the other ninja villages."
"I won't be fighting on the front lines?"
"Of course you will. With your strength, you naturally need to fight on the front lines. But you don't need to take part in ordinary battles. You'll only join the major decisive battles against the other ninja villages."
"No problem. When do we leave?"
"The sooner, the better. According to our intelligence, Sunagakure's forces have already set out and are advancing toward the Land of Fire."
"Fine. I'll go back and take care of a few things, then leave after breakfast. Oh, and don't send Pakura out for the war against Sunagakure. Send her later." Beichen Haotian said with a faint smile.
"Alright, we'll do as you say." The Third Hokage was pleased to see that Beichen Haotian showed no hesitation and was instead giving it his all. One Pakura would not affect the overall situation, so granting him this favor was no issue. Although the Third Hokage did not entirely approve of Beichen Haotian's methods and temperament, as long as he was good for Konoha and willing to work for Konoha, the rest could be tolerated.
Beichen Haotian returned home and had breakfast with Pakura. Then, stopping her as she prepared to clear the table, he handed her a scroll covered in strange patterns.
