The Ambush (Part 1)

Chaotic time made everything hazy. The black sphere had barely risen into the air before it froze in place.

A pale blade carried unimaginable Yin-Yang Release, Sage Mode, and the power of Uchiha Kei's unique Dojutsu. Drawn by the immense gravitational force, it rapidly shot toward the core of the Planetary Devastation in the sky.

In an instant, heaven and earth shook together, and there was nothing left but a blazing white light.

Amid the thunderous roar came a loud noise like the sky splitting apart, yet the sound seemed to have frozen. It dissipated before it could travel, and the surroundings became as silent as a void.

Like an erupting sun, all the matter absorbed by Planetary Devastation was pulverized. Crushed Stone wrapped in flames rained down, yet not a single sound carried through the air.

There was sound, but it was merely noise that endlessly repeated and vanished within disordered time!

The blazing white radiance gradually faded. Deva Path Pain still stood expressionlessly where he was, while a blade that seemed both swift and slow descended toward him.

The blade was so fast that, in Nagato's eyes, it had surpassed the limits of human reaction. Yet it also seemed so slow that its trajectory could be seen at a glance.

Under such bizarre circumstances, Nagato discovered that he could not control Deva Path Pain to evade it.

It was as though he had been completely immobilized. No matter how he struggled, he could do nothing but watch helplessly as it happened!
