Mahora's barrier was perfectly normal, and no strange intruders had broken in. But where had this utterly seductive girl come from? After all, once White Fox took human form, that bone-deep allure was far too obvious. There was no way Evangeline could have failed to notice her.
But this was their first meeting.
"Master, isn't it wrong to snatch someone else's things?"
"...Who told you to snatch it? Go trick her into... no, just go get it."
"Yes."
Chachamaru nodded and walked over to Konoka. The girl looked up and tilted her head in puzzlement. "Chachamaru-san, is something wrong?"
Chachamaru lowered her gaze to Little Nine in Konoka's pocket. "I want that."
The White Fox girl immediately shot her a wary look. "What are you trying to do!?"
"No records..." Chachamaru watched White Fox for a moment and searched her database, finding absolutely no records concerning White Fox, even after conducting an online search.
"What do you mean, no records? It's me." The White Fox girl pointed at her own face. "Come on, look carefully."
"I'm sorry, I don't know you." Chachamaru shook her head and continued with the matter at hand. "I want that doll."
"Huh?" Konoka blinked, reaching into her pocket to touch Little Nine, whom she had tucked away inside. She gently shook her head. "Sorry, Chachamaru-san, but I really like this doll."
"Mm, then excuse me." Chachamaru gave Konoka a slight bow, then turned and returned to Evangeline's side, standing behind her as though nothing had happened.
At the edge of the classroom, a stern-faced girl with side-tied hair stared fixedly at the Little Nine Konoka had just taken from her pocket. When she realized Konoka had noticed her gaze, she swiftly looked away. It looked like an utterly ordinary little doll. Nothing special about it.
