The Third Hokage also nodded, one hand behind his back, the other extending forward.
Kakashi took a deep breath.
The next second, the sound of the wooden sword breaking through the air rang out with a "swish," and his figure had already flashed before the Third Hokage, slashing down diagonally with his sword.
The Third Hokage dodged to the side, not making a move, just watching.
Kakashi's sword strike missed, but his feet didn't stop. He spun his body with the momentum, and the second strike swept horizontally.
The Third Hokage took a step back.
Kakashi followed, the third strike, the fourth strike, the fifth strike.
One strike after another, each connected to the next, like a routine practiced countless times, yet each strike adjusted its angle and force based on the Third Hokage's position.
The children below the stage stared with wide eyes.
"So fast!"
"That's the Hatake Style Blade Techniques, right?"
"This is the first time I've seen Kakashi fight so seriously."
Obito squatted in the crowd, his eyes fixed on the silver figure on the stage.
Rin sat beside him, also watching intently.
Kakashi's sword grew faster and faster, and his footwork became more and more agile.
The wooden sword in his hand seemed to come alive, chopping, slashing, lifting, thrusting, each movement clean and precise, without any wasted motion.
The Third Hokage still had one hand behind his back, dodging only with his footwork and slight body movements, but his gaze became increasingly focused.
After finishing the sword technique, Kakashi retracted his sword and stepped back, breathing slightly heavily.
The Third Hokage looked at him, his eyes filled with undisguised admiration.
"Very good, you've achieved seven-tenths mastery of the Hatake Style Blade Techniques. What's even rarer is that you didn't rigidly follow the routine; you adjusted every strike based on the opponent's changes."
Kakashi looked up at him.
The Third Hokage smiled, "There are a few places where I can give you some more advice."
He extended his hand, demonstrating a few movements. Kakashi listened intently, nodding occasionally.
Below the stage, Rin's eyes sparkled, and she whispered, "The Third Hokage is personally guiding Kakashi."
Obito pursed his lips, remaining silent.
But he didn't take his eyes off Kakashi.
The Third Hokage spoke to Kakashi for about five or six minutes before stopping.
"That's all for today."
Kakashi nodded and bowed respectfully, "Thank you for your guidance, Third Hokage."
The Third Hokage waved his hand and then looked at Uchiha Toru.
"Next, Uchiha Toru."
Uchiha Toru stepped forward and bowed.
The Third Hokage looked at him, his expression a little calmer than before, "Begin."
Uchiha Toru took a deep breath. Instead of rushing forward, he quickly jumped back a step and formed hand seals.
A small fireball was spat from his mouth, flying towards the Third Hokage.
A gasp arose from the crowd.
"He really knows Fire Style!"
"The Uchiha are different."
The Third Hokage stood in place. When the fireball reached him, he raised his hand and simply formed a seal.
A stream of water appeared out of nowhere and precisely met the fireball, extinguishing it with a "hiss" and turning it into a wisp of white smoke.
Uchiha Toru was stunned.
"Your Fire Style is decent," the Third Hokage retracted his hand, "but your hand seals are too slow, and that step back before casting was unnecessary."
Uchiha Toru opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but in the end, he just lowered his head, "Yes."
"Go practice," the Third Hokage waved his hand.
Uchiha Toru silently retreated to the side.
That's it?
Someone in the crowd muttered softly.
"The Uchiha only said two sentences?"
"The Third Hokage spoke to Kakashi for so long."
Uchiha Toru retreated to the side, his expression unreadable, but his fists clenched slightly.
Finally, the Third Hokage looked at Shin-chan.
Shin-chan was on his tiptoes, looking this way. When he met the Third Hokage's gaze, he blinked.
"Is it my turn?"
The Third Hokage looked at him, his expression becoming interesting again. "Come on, let me see what you've got."
Shin-chan blinked.
"Grandpa Third, you just fought two, aren't you tired?"
The Third Hokage froze for a moment, then laughed.
"What, afraid I'll be too tired to beat you?"
Shin-chan thought about it and nodded seriously.
"A little."
Someone in the audience couldn't help but laugh.
The Third Hokage also laughed, his beard shaking.
"Don't worry, I'm still strong enough to beat you."
Shin-chan raised his Wooden Sword. "Then I'm coming."
A red shadow flashed, and the Wooden Sword was already chopping towards the Third Hokage.
The Third Hokage dodged while observing the child's movements.
There were traces of the Hatake Style Blade Techniques.
But there was no proper form.
Yet, somehow, the angle of every strike was incredibly tricky, as if he didn't need to think, his body just knew where to cut.
The most terrifying thing was that he was getting faster and faster.
At first, the Third Hokage could easily dodge, but after a dozen moves, he found himself needing to be a little more serious.
After twenty moves, his backward movement was a bit larger than before.
After thirty moves, Shin-chan's sword almost grazed his sleeve.
The Third Hokage's eyes grew brighter and brighter.
Interesting.
He no longer just dodged, but began to reach out to block.
The audience below was stunned.
"The Third Hokage is sparring seriously with him?"
"How long has this been going on?"
"Longer than Kakashi's, right?"
Two more minutes passed, and the Third Hokage finally jumped back a step, smiling and waving his hand.
"That's enough, that's enough."
Shin-chan stopped, panting heavily, "Grandpa Third Hokage, you're amazing."
The Third Hokage walked forward and ruffled Shin-chan's hair. "Without family inheritance or systematic training, to reach this level, you are simply a natural ninja talent."
Shin-chan's head shook as his hair was ruffled, but he didn't dodge.
The Third Hokage withdrew his hand and looked at the three children before him.
"Alright, what rewards do you want?"
Kakashi thought for a moment. "I'd like to borrow some ninjutsu scrolls."
"Certainly, I'll have someone send them to your home later."
Uchiha Toru hesitated for a moment. "I'd also like to borrow some ninjutsu scrolls."
The Third Hokage nodded again. "I'll have someone send a set to your home as well."
Finally, he looked at Shin-chan.
Shin-chan blinked, his face full of expectation. "Grandpa Third Hokage, can you help me eliminate bell peppers?"
The Third Hokage froze. "What bell peppers?"
"The green ones, the ones that taste terrible. My mother always makes me eat them, and I don't want to. Can you order the Village to ban the planting of bell peppers?"
Silence fell on the stage for two seconds.
Teacher Ibuki put his hand to his forehead and closed his eyes in pain.
The Third Hokage, however, burst into laughter.
He laughed even harder than before, his beard shaking, tears almost welling up in his eyes.
"Child, I can't help you with that."
Shin-chan's face fell: "Why?"
"Because Chinjao is good stuff, it's good for your body to eat it."
"But it doesn't taste good."
The Third Hokage smiled and shook his head: "You have to eat it even if it doesn't taste good."
Shin-chan sighed, his face showing a look of utter despair.
Seeing his expression, the Third Hokage smiled again: "How about this, I'll give you a different reward, something you can look forward to a little."
