On the now-empty Vault Wasteland, wails rang without end. Crimson flames illuminated the Underdark, which never saw daylight year-round, as brightly as the surface at noon.

Although that fiery dragon breath had been as powerful as several tons of TNT exploding at once, only those packed tightly around Li Wei had died directly in the blast. Some Gnolls and Ogres that had been unable to squeeze in due to their size had survived, but even the survivors were in no good condition.

Most had been left bleeding from every orifice and reeling from the terrifying shockwave of the close-range explosion. Some of the unlucky ones had lost arms or legs outright. Even those who remained relatively intact had suffered burns from the High Temperature, their bodies covered in translucent blisters that looked utterly horrifying.

Other than the Dilo Dwarves who had luckily escaped disaster because the Goblins had separated them from the battlefield, everyone was shaken to the core by the terrifying destruction. Their faces were full of fear, but with the Black Dragon Master still present, they neither dared advance nor flee. They could only stare at the source of all this horror in Full Alert.

Yet they had already made up their minds. If their Master ordered them to charge that evil dragon head-on, they would defect without a second thought, even if it meant being hunted across the entire Underdark by the Black Dragon.

This simply was not a terrifying existence that a frail race like theirs could contend with!

It had to be Tiamat, Evil Scale's bastard spawn!

Thus, as Li Wei's words fell, every gaze turned toward the equally stunned Black Dragon Kangerweian.

Kangerweian was currently flapping his heavy wings, hovering in the air in an absurd posture. He seemed both angered and alarmed by Li Wei's provocation, yet intimidated by Li Wei's terrifying strength.

But when he saw Li Wei's body, with not a single intact scale remaining and covered in charred bloodstains, his heart settled. No matter how strong this Red Dragon was, after such an intense series of battles, such heavy injuries, and the expenditure of his precious Blazing Breath, he was no longer impossible to fight head-on.

The final victor would still be him, Kangerweian, the future Red Dragon Enslavver!

An inexplicable confidence rose alongside something called determination, making him seem once more like the schemer who ruled the Underdark—Lord Kangerweian.

"What a pity, Tibilus. You made an extremely unwise choice. Now, I'll show you the price of defying Kangerweian! Roar!!!"

A Dragon Roar shook the heavens.

At the same time, another mouthful of acid refluxed into his mouth, puffing out both his cheeks and making him look rather ridiculous.

Yet just as he was about to use Acid Breath to give his opponent a piercing lesson, he saw specks of scorching fire gathering in Li Wei's mouth once again. His enormous eyes nearly bulged from their sockets, and his hovering body instantly lost balance as he plummeted downward.

"How is that possible?! How can he use his breath a second time so soon?! That's not magic!"

"Cough, cough, cough! Pfft!"

The sudden loss of balance frightened him into swallowing back most of the acid he had just regurgitated, nearly choking himself to death. The acid that spilled from his mouth rained down like acid rain.

The Dilo Dwarves below him were the unlucky ones.

Everywhere the acid landed smoked black with a sizzling sound, as if concentrated sulfuric acid had been splashed over it. The pain sent the Dwarves rolling across the ground as they desperately fled.

Yet fleeing even faster than them was their Master, the Black Dragon Kangerweian.

Perhaps he had exerted too much force. His wings flapped wildly several times in the air, and with his magic in disarray, he smashed headfirst into a stalactite as thick as a Dwarf, snapping it in half. After an uncontrollable cry of pain, he became a black shadow on the horizon at an incomparably fast yet utterly miserable speed. At the same time, an embarrassed and furious command drifted back from afar:

"Kuchui! I order you to stop that Red Dragon for me! Otherwise, I'll slaughter your entire tribe—ah, my head!" Judging by the sound, he seemed to have smashed through another Rock Pillar while turning back to make his threat.

"To hell with his Dinggelian hammer! If he dares come after us, we'll go straight to his mother, Lord Savivian, and tell on him! We'll smash that black iron skull of his flat! What are you standing around for?! Run in different directions!!!"

The Dilo Dwarf named Kuchui was no fool either. He treated the Black Dragon's words as nothing but hot air, waved the hammer in his hand, and took the lead in fleeing toward the tunnel at the edge of the wasteland. Behind him, the Dwarves who could still run dragged their injured companions away in all directions, seemingly even faster than when they had arrived.

In the blink of an eye, apart from the Gnolls and Ogres who had been heavily injured and could not escape, left only to howl in despair, only Li Wei remained, wearing the same dumbfounded expression.

Li Wei knew his own condition best. He simply did not have the ability to unleash a second breath attack in such a short time. That had merely been an illusion created with his remaining magic. He had only wanted to gamble that the Black Dragon would not dare trade dragon breaths with him and would instead choose close combat.

He had never expected this Black Dragon to be such a coward, fleeing faster than Li Wei had escaped from the Kobolds' Hot Pot back then. It truly broadened Li Wei's horizons.

Yet after paying such a huge price to lure the other party out, he had failed to keep that damned Black Dragon behind. Li Wei, already influenced by certain miserly dragon beliefs, could not help feeling as if he had made a losing deal.

A gust formed by Air Convection caused by uneven temperatures blew past. The flame in Li Wei's slightly open mouth went out, but the fury in his heart still burned fiercely as he cursed at the Black Dragon's retreating back.

"You Black Dragon bastard! If you've got the guts, get back here! Kangerweian, was it? I, Tibilus, will remember this! One day, I'll come pay your mother a visit! F**K!!!"

Having vented his frustration at failing to capture the Black Dragon as both slave and specimen, Li Wei flapped his wings a few times before crookedly taking to the air. He traced a strange, irregular flight path, then folded his wings at the riverbank and plunged headfirst into the water, apparently intending to take a good bath.

Only after Li Wei left did the Slime army slowly arriving from the riverbank finally reach the battlefield and begin their harvest.

Dozens, even hundreds, of Slimes gathered into enormous Slimes, hopping across the battlefield and swallowing every survivor and corpse into their bellies. They did not even spare the moss on the ground. Wherever they passed, nothing remained.

Nearly every large Slime had a Koutao Fishman swimming within it as if in water. Whenever one encountered someone attempting to resist, he waved his coral harpoon and viciously jabbed it toward their throat. The wounded could only stare wide-eyed, clutch their throats, and kick helplessly until their souls returned to Barto Hell.

At the same time, the lords watching this scene in silence from around the Vault Wasteland all fell into a strange silence. They seemed to tacitly agree to place this evil dragon on their invasion blacklist.

Some lords whose territories lay too close had already begun considering whether they should relocate as soon as possible, lest they suffer an undeserved disaster when this evil dragon expanded his territory in the future.

In short, whoever wanted to provoke him could go ahead. They wanted absolutely no part in it.

Only a group of Drow collecting taxes at a nearby Dwarf settlement watched the scene with excited expressions. In their eyes, the stronger this Red Dragon who had suddenly appeared in the Underdark became, the better. After all, no matter how strong he was, he was still a Young Dragon who seemed not even close to adulthood.

He appeared so powerful only because his opponents were too weak. On a battlefield without High-Tier Professionals, dragons were natural harvesters of life.

"Send word back immediately. Deploy a squad of Spider Drow. The Matriarch will surely be delighted to accept this gift."
