Following the established testing plan, after the centerpiece tests of the steel golems' new ranged firepower and the Diamond Golem, came practical trials of the new generation of steel golems' melee capabilities and destructive tests to determine the limits of their defenses.
The testers would respectively consist of traditional low-tier warrior corps, mid-tier professional squads, and High-Tier Professionals. The minotaur Rayne and the barbarian warrior Pantos had both planned to sign up.
Yet after witnessing that terrifyingly brief scene, one comparable to a legendary battle, everyone was clearly rather uninterested in the tests to come.
Braska, meanwhile, was deeply conflicted. On one hand, he was dismayed that the Diamond Golem he had painstakingly deciphered and repaired had not even managed to display one-tenth of its power. On the other, he was slightly relieved.
During this test, the dragon lord serving as a tester had performed far too fiercely. People had not gotten much sense of the Diamond Golem's capabilities, but their impression of their own lord's terrifying strength had been refreshed once more.
In a sense, that was a good thing for him.
At the very least, given the strength the lord had displayed now, he seemingly had little need to rely on this Diamond Golem to raise his upper limit of power.
And the subsequent test results were more or less as expected:
Even without employing the new Scorching Ray launchers, a single steel golem was practically a battlefield steamroller against low- and mid-tier warrior corps. Most low- and mid-tier spellcasters found dealing with one just as difficult.
Though this thing did not, like the Diamond Golem, nearly immunize itself against all magic below legendary level, it was immune to all mind-affecting spells, poison, paralysis, stunning, disease, death effects, and most spell effects below the fifth circle.
