Pantos cleared the enemies before him with a sweeping slash, then gazed into the distance at the steel warship fleet that blotted out the sky. Amid his previously dazed expression was a trace of indescribable shock. He was not the only one; the others wore much the same look.
Only Igg, the Arcanist descended from Netheril's legacy, stared blankly at the emblem of his homeland upon the warships—an emblem that should have been buried beneath the yellow sands—and tears were already streaming down his face.
Even Li Wei, who had been mentally prepared for this, could not help saying to Blade with relief at the sight:
