Revenge Attack

After the Blazing Earth-Walking Dragon self-destructed following the death of its child, the Dragon King appeared and attacked the Three Academies expedition. Osler identified it as the larger dragon's mate and the smaller dragon's father, explaining its revenge-driven assault 76 78.

Its arrival endangered the injured Qin Ming and Huo Jun, as well as Huo Wushuang while he was still absorbing a spirit ring. Du Lu used her enlarged Diamond Giant Shield to block its opening barrage of wind bullets, while Qin Ming and Huo Jun attempted to hold it back 77.

Battle with Dugu Yang and Du Lu

Dugu Yang used Delusional Passion to redirect the Dragon King's rage toward himself and lure it several kilometers away from the students 78 79. Once the poison's mental effect wore off, the Dragon King regained clarity, caught him, and severely pressured him with its wind attacks 79.

Du Lu arrived to defend Dugu Yang, and the pair stalled the Dragon King until Dugu Yang deployed his Weakening Domain. The domain halved the sub-dragon's attributes, allowing them to combine Du Lu's defense with Dugu Yang's escalating poison attacks 79 80.

Dugu Yang weakened the Dragon King with Soul-Eating Leech, Elemental Curse, and Heart-Eroding Dragon Poison before drenching it in Jade Phosphor Death. He then detonated the accumulated toxins with Poison Burst Technique, killing it 80 81.

External Soul Bone

The Dragon King's corpse produced a pair of Dragon Wing External Soul Bones. Qin Ming and Du Lu agreed that Dugu Yang deserved them because he had played the decisive role in the hunt 82 83.

Dugu Yang absorbed the wings, which fused into his spine and manifested as a five-meter-plus wingspan formed from sixteen interlocking bones. The External Soul Bone granted him flight and further stimulated the dragon bloodline of his Jade Flood Dragon Martial Soul 83.
