The few Awakeners sitting in the bed of the pickup angrily hammered the truck's side, as if venting their frustration.
As minor figures like them, most of the messages they sent were ignored as trash. Klei, whom they had placed their greatest hopes in, had simply threatened them, saying that if they dared deceive him, he would deal with them when he returned.
With a bitter smile, the few of them exchanged glances, not knowing what to do for a moment.
There was nothing they could do. Their method of privately messaging people to sell things really did look like a scam.
Undaunted, the burly man sitting among them swept his gaze around. Then he steeled himself.
"Private messages are useless, so let's go see Lord Klei directly! I refuse to believe that once we're right in front of him, he'll still think we're scammers!"
