Final Trial 3

"Drip, drip"

Water droplets fell from the eaves.

Supporting himself with one palm against the ground, Lin An struggled to lift his body from the damp floor.

Beneath him was a puddle, faintly reflecting the edges of the roof walls on either side above him and the crescent moon in the sky.

The temperature was very low, like a damp night after an autumn rain.

Before he could even open his eyes, a cold System Announcement instantly entered everyone's ears:

"Trial Announcement: For this trial, all attributes and equipment bonuses have been removed. Only the Willpower Attribute has been retained."

"Current Trial: Brain Marrow Hell"

"Number of Trial Takers: 1,193"

"Notification: Please enter the nearest building as soon as possible."

The announcement faded away.

Lin An tried his best to adapt to his current physical condition and slowly opened his eyes.

He had a slight headache.

With only the Willpower Attribute retained, the System had nearly reduced the Trial Takers' physical qualities to what they had been before the apocalypse.

Having grown accustomed to a body filled with strength, he found such a huge contrast difficult to get used to.

A moment later, he stood up, froze slightly, then reached down and pulled up Fiona, who was lying nearby.

"Mm, that hurts."

"Why does it hurt so much?"

She swayed unsteadily.

After being pulled up, Fiona was clearly having a harder time adapting than Lin An.

She couldn't help tightening her grip on Lin An's outstretched hand while trying to press her brow with the other, easing the feeling that her head was splitting apart.
