Background

Tang San's past life was publicly exposed as that of a Tang Sect outer disciple who secretly stole the Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record. Pursued by Tang Sect elders, he fled to Ghost's Worry and fell from the cliff after declaring that he would return everything he had learned from the sect. The exposure of this past left him shaken and struggling to restrain his Killing Intent. 288 289

In his new life, Tang San awakened Blue Silver Grass and the Clear Sky Hammer with Innate Full Spirit Power. Tang Hao initially directed killing intent at him upon seeing Blue Silver Grass, then withdrew it after the Clear Sky Hammer appeared and ordered him to keep his twin martial spirits secret. 27

At Nuoding Academy, Tang San learned that a Tang Sect existed in this world and became afraid that it might pursue him as a traitor. He became Yu Xiaogang's disciple despite being mocked for his name and repeatedly insulted as a “traitor,” “bastard,” and “demon.” 27 28

Appearance

Tang San's appearance changed significantly as his power and connection to the Asura God deepened.

  • His hair became blood-red during his time in the City of Slaughter. 83
  • Near the completion of his divine inheritance, he developed crimson skin, horns, blood-red hair, fangs, and a visibly inhuman appearance. 137 139
  • In battle, he wore Asura God Armor and wielded the Asura Demon Sword. 139
  • After forcing himself to Supreme God King level, his eyes, hair, and cracked skin turned crimson, giving him an evil-ghost-like appearance. 287
  • His use of Dual God Coexistence further enlarged and mutated his body into a bleeding monstrous form. 290 291

Personality

Tang San is determined, calculating, and highly protective of the people he considers his own. As a child, he begged Tang Hao to save Yu Xiaogang from Bibi Dong, declaring that “a teacher for a day is a father for a lifetime.” He later swore vengeance alongside Tang Hao after the destruction of the Clear Sky Sect. 30 44

His need for control repeatedly shapes his choices. He secretly arranged for Tang Wutong to be tied to Huo Yuhao and monitored the Douluo Plane as though it were his personal domain. When reporting the crisis in his homeland to the Great God Circle, he omitted key details that would have made Qian Renxue seem less like an outside invader. 108 173 259

Under pressure, Tang San becomes increasingly ruthless and desperate. He sacrificed the Destruction God King to create an escape opportunity, later bound his own Great God Circle allies to drain their power, and regarded victory as justification for any action. 176 287 291

Abilities & Skills

Twin Martial Spirits

Tang San possesses Blue Silver Grass and the Clear Sky Hammer, awakened with Innate Full Spirit Power. 27

  • Blue Silver Grass — His rings were exclusively plant-type during his Blue Silver Forest cultivation; he did not possess the Eight Spider Lances. 61
  • Clear Sky Hammer — Tang Hao emphasized hammer cultivation over Blue Silver Grass combat ability. 61
  • Even without an attached Spirit Ring, the Clear Sky Hammer retained substantial combat power through Tang San's hammer training. 61

Tang Sect Secret Arts

Tang San retained and employed Tang Sect techniques in his new life.

  • Ghost Shadow Perplexing Step — Used as a movement technique, though it could not save him when Bibi Dong returned his own Silent Sleeve Arrow faster than his body could react. 30
  • Purple Demon Eyes — Allowed him to track projectile trajectories; overuse caused painful side effects because his realm was still insufficient. 30 44
  • Hidden weapons — Used the Silent Sleeve Arrow against Bibi Dong and wounded Fear Knight Scott with a Sand Hidden Arrow to qualify for entry into the City of Slaughter. 30 63
  • His past theft of the Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record was the source of his Tang Sect knowledge. 288

Clear Sky Sect Techniques

Tang Hao trained Tang San in the Clear Sky Sect's hammer arts while they hid in the Blue Silver Forest. 61

  • Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer — A daily training requirement. 61
  • Clear Sky Nine Absolutes — Began practicing the technique before gaining a ring for the Clear Sky Hammer. 61
  • Great Sumeru Hammer — Associated with his Asura-enhanced combat through the Clear Sky Hammer lineage. 62

Slaughter God's Domain and Asura Inheritance

Tang San became the Asura King through the Hell Slaughter Arena, received Tang Chen's transferred God Trial, and obtained the Slaughter God's Domain after leaving the City of Slaughter. 83

  • The Asura inheritance granted him the Asura Demon Sword, Asura Divine Power, and the Six-Armed Asura Manifestation. 139
  • Asura Blood Sword drew blood-evil aura from across the continent into a massive blood-flamed blade. 141
  • His early swordsmanship was inferior to Qian Daoliu's because Tang San had focused on hidden weapons and hammer techniques rather than sword study. 139

Sea God Divine Power

By the time of his return to Shrek Academy ten thousand years later, Tang San was recognized as Sea God Tang San. 170

  • Golden Thirteen Halberds — Used techniques including Boundless Sea Ripple and Sun of the Sea. 261 289
  • Blue Silver Domain — Created a vast network of divine Blue Silver Grass to search for hidden enemies. 289
  • Sea God's Judgment — Combined all thirteen Golden Thirteen Halberd forms with Asura power into a Supreme God King-level attack. 290
  • Sea God Trident / Golden Trident — Served as his principal weapon after the Asura Demon Sword was broken. 176 197

Dual God Coexistence

Tang San can merge Sea God and Asura power, and later used Dual God Coexistence with Xiao Wu to replenish himself. 290

  • The technique restored power during his final battle with Xiao Chenlong. 290
  • Its use further distorted his body into a giant, bleeding monster. 290 291

Divine Power Extraction

Tang San can bind others with blue-gold vines and extract their power.

  • He used this method on the Destruction God King before detonating both of their divine bodies to let his own divine soul escape. 176
  • He later restrained Chang Gongwei, Sea Dragon, Tian Hen, A Dai, Ye Yinzhui, Lei Xiang, Ji Dong, Lie Yan, and Rong Nianbing to seize their power. 287
  • Drawing from the Great God Circle's Hub destabilized the realm and helped force his breakthrough to Supreme God King. 287 291

Equipment

  • Clear Sky Hammer — One of Tang San's twin martial spirits. 27
  • Blue Silver Grass — One of Tang San's twin martial spirits. 27
  • Hidden weapons — Includes the Silent Sleeve Arrow and Sand Hidden Arrow. 30 63
  • Asura Demon Sword — Super divine weapon of the Asura inheritance; Xiao Chenlong broke it in half. 139 176
  • Sea God Trident / Golden Trident — Divine weapon used after the destruction of the Asura Demon Sword. 197 261

Relationships

  • Tang Hao — Father. Their relationship began under the shadow of Tang Hao's killing intent, but they later trained together, mourned the Clear Sky Sect, and pursued revenge together. 27 44 61
  • Yu Xiaogang — Teacher and first master. Tang San defended him against Bibi Dong and Golden Crocodile Douluo despite their short acquaintance. 28 30 35
  • Tang Chen — Great-grandfather. Tang Chen transferred his completed God Trial to Tang San and brought him toward Sea God Island. 83 86
  • Xiao Wu — Wife and partner in Dual God Coexistence. She remained at Tang San's side even when he threatened to destroy the God Realm Hub. 200 290

  • Tang Wulin — Son and a component of Tang San's long-term plans for the Douluo Plane. 204 271
