Background

Tang San's past life was publicly exposed as that of a Tang Sect outer disciple who secretly stole the Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record. Pursued by Tang Sect elders, he fled to Ghost's Worry and fell from the cliff after declaring that he would return everything he had learned from the sect. The exposure of this past left him shaken and struggling to restrain his Killing Intent. 288 289

In his new life, Tang San awakened Blue Silver Grass and the Clear Sky Hammer with Innate Full Spirit Power. Tang Hao initially directed killing intent at him upon seeing Blue Silver Grass, then withdrew it after the Clear Sky Hammer appeared and ordered him to keep his twin martial spirits secret. 27

At Nuoding Academy, Tang San learned that a Tang Sect existed in this world and became afraid that it might pursue him as a traitor. He became Yu Xiaogang's disciple despite being mocked for his name and repeatedly insulted as a “traitor,” “bastard,” and “demon.” 27 28

Tang San is determined, calculating, and highly protective of the people he considers his own. As a child, he begged Tang Hao to save Yu Xiaogang from Bibi Dong, declaring that “a teacher for a day is a father for a lifetime.” He later swore vengeance alongside Tang Hao after the destruction of the Clear Sky Sect. 30 44

His need for control repeatedly shapes his choices. He secretly arranged for Tang Wutong to be tied to Huo Yuhao and monitored the Douluo Plane as though it were his personal domain. When reporting the crisis in his homeland to the Great God Circle, he omitted key details that would have made Qian Renxue seem less like an outside invader. 108 173 259
