"I couldn't see any trace of that punch at all. How could he be so much stronger than the other one?!"
Yamcha had only just begun to form a thought when he was instantly knocked flat on the ground.
Son Goku watched the scene and murmured,
"What the heck? Wuneng's gotten even stronger again!"
Amateurs watched the spectacle; experts saw what was going on.
Son Goku could tell that Wuneng's punch looked ordinary, but was actually anything but!
"He didn't let any of his power spill out. That punch was so fast and controlled!"
All the force of the punch had landed on Yamcha, yet Yamcha hadn't been knocked back even an inch!
It was far more skillful than the punch he'd used earlier, when he hadn't been able to control his strength and had sent Yamcha flying!
"Young Master Yamcha!"
Puar cried out in concern and rushed to Yamcha's side.
Seeing Young Master Yamcha lying in a huge crater, too battered to even hold himself up, Puar was overcome with emotion and burst into tears.
Wuneng, however, remained unmoved. He slowly lifted Yamcha above his head with one hand.
"What, you didn't prepare yourself for this before robbing other people?"
"Those who rob others will eventually be robbed themselves. I hope you understand that!"
With that, he casually slammed Yamcha back down.
Another huge crater appeared on the spot.
"So, are you handing over your money or your life? Choose!"
There was no need for more talk. They could hand over their money or their lives; after all, they'd chosen this path themselves.
"We'll hand it over! We'll give you everything!"
Puar tearfully handed over all the Hoi-Poi Capsules he had, while Yamcha curled up into a ball. Then Puar gazed at Wuneng pitifully.
Also, you need to teach us the transformation technique you learned at Southern Kindergarten.
"Don't even think about hiding anything. Do you know Oolong? He already taught us once. This time, we just wanted to check with you."
To prove he was telling the truth, Wuneng even transformed into Son Goku right in front of Puar.
With no other choice, Puar obediently explained everything he knew again. Wuneng checked each detail, and once he found that there was no difference, he let them go.
In the end, Yamcha, the bandit who had terrorized this desert, slunk back to his hideout on the only thing he had left: his own legs.
"Damn it! How can he be so strong?!"
After lying there for ages, Yamcha finally got his breath back. He angrily slammed his fist on the table, unable to understand why those two little boys were both so strong at such a young age!
After thinking it over for a long time, Yamcha finally noticed something suspicious.
"Come to think of it, that little boy's staff looks familiar. I feel like I've seen it somewhere before!"
"A red staff that can extend and retract!"
"Puar, I know what it is! It's the Ruyi Staff, the weapon of the martial arts master Son Gohan!"
"Those two brats are probably his descendants. Otherwise, they wouldn't be so strong!"
Clearly delighted by his own cleverness, Yamcha excitedly paced around his cave.
After pondering for a long while, he felt Puar's pouch and realized that they really had nothing left.
Gritting his teeth, he said to Puar,
"No, we can't let this go! Puar, go put a tracking device on their place. We'll follow them without them noticing!"
"Sooner or later, we'll get a chance to take back what belongs to us!"
If you endured it for a while, the storm would pass; take a step back, and you'd only get angrier. Yamcha just couldn't calm down.
That was the fortune he'd painstakingly built up over all those years of robbing people in this desert! It was an enormous amount of wealth!
And now, he didn't have a single coin left!
Just thinking about it made him want to cry.
Puar was completely stunned. He stared blankly at Yamcha.
"Huh? Me?"
"Young Master, I'll get killed!"
His already tiny courage had shrunk even further from fright, and he refused to accept the task no matter what.
"Just wait until night falls, then quietly transform into an inconspicuous little bug and sneak over!"
"It's dangerous, sure, but just think about all our treasure, Puar! It's all our money!"
"F-fine. I'll give it a try. If they catch me, I'll just get on my knees and beg for mercy."
Looking at his young master, who seemed as if his parents had just died, Puar ultimately couldn't bring himself to refuse.
While the two of them plotted together, Son Goku and the others weren't idle either. The ruckus outside had eventually woken Bulma, who had been sleeping soundly.
When she woke up and found herself lying in bed, she was still a little dazed.
"Weren't we traveling?"
Once she'd gathered herself and stepped outside, she found Wuneng sorting through a pile of Capsules.
"Huh? When did you get so many Capsules?"
She'd traveled all the way from Mount Paozu with the brothers, and neither of them had a single penny to their name.
"Oh, nothing much. Some bandits tried to rob us, so I had no choice but to rob them instead."
"Whaaat?!"
"That sounds like so much fun! Why didn't you wake me up?!"
Bulma's eyes lit up as soon as she heard about the bandits. They were such cool characters in the adventure stories she'd read!
Especially the ones who roamed the seas. They were always talking about finding some bandit's treasure and becoming the great Pirate King or something!
It was so exciting!
"Ahem, you were sleeping so soundly. I couldn't bring myself to wake you."
Wuneng rubbed his nose. He truly hadn't expected Bulma to react so strongly.
Once Bulma joined them, the three of them inspected the Capsules one by one. Before long, she'd lost interest.
"What? I thought the bandit would have loads of treasure, but it's all just junk!"
"..."
Wuneng looked at the Capsules scattered all over the ground. They were filled with all sorts of things. No matter how he looked at it, they didn't seem like a meager haul.
"I mean, it's no wonder she's the heiress to the Hoi-Poi Capsule Corporation. She's practically the richest girl on Earth! There's quite a lot of stuff here, but compared to what Bulma's used to, I guess it really doesn't amount to much!"
With a helpless shrug, Wuneng packed away all this "junk." It was his first-ever haul, after all, and worth cherishing.
"Hey, Ribut, you've rested enough, right? Let's get going! We need to get out of this desert as soon as possible. It's so hot!"
The sun set once more, and the rested Dragon Ball Squad set off again.
What they didn't know was that two groups were already sneaking along behind them.
"Hey, Xiao Wu, the Dragon Balls King Pilaf ordered us to get are with them!"
"But you know how hard it is to deal with that little boy carrying the Red Staff!"
"It was because of him that our plane got wrecked last time, and King Pilaf scolded us!"
