It was a strange sensation.

There was no skin to feel the temperature or texture of whatever he touched, yet the sensation was undeniably there. Bucky could even clearly control the bending and straightening of every finger.

He studied the metal arm, which ran all the way up to his shoulder near his collarbone. Its surface was bright silver with a faint blue-gray sheen. Curious and excited, he turned his wrist and flexed its joints from side to side, examining them closely.

The arm's surface was made up of several solid, armor-like plates. Their contours were reminiscent of muscles, yet retained a cold mechanical quality.

Each finger was assembled from tightly fitted segments, with delicate fish-scale-shaped plates covering and joining every joint. The whole thing had the powerful beauty of a machine.

"Adamantium is still difficult to work with when it comes to complicated components. Simple cold weapons are the easiest to make. The mechanical technology in this arm is still rather crude, and it doesn't have any special capabilities. We can upgrade it if we get the chance later."

James watched Bucky, who was absorbed in stroking the Adamantium arm with his right hand, his expression relaxed. Aside from the outer shell and main structure, most of the complicated internal components were made of Vibranium, which was easier to shape.

As a mechanical prosthesis whose primary purpose was to function like a normal arm, it was already one of the most advanced creations of its time.

"Dr. Zola will give you a thorough examination of the neural link efficiency later, and explain how to use it. He led a team of mechanical engineering experts in building this arm. It's opened up a whole new field of mechanical prosthetics."

It took Bucky a long while to tear his attention away
