Chapter 1246: Attending
In the hall were Anton, the Legendary Knight, and Annabella the Legendary.
David guessed that Annabella the Legendary had contacted him through Anton, the Legendary Knight. Annabella knew that even when Anton could not reach him through the communication array, he still had other means of contacting him.
"My lord, you're back. These are five invitations, sent by the Five Great Temples!" Annabella the Legendary looked at David, hurried forward, bowed, and presented the five invitations.
David accepted them and found that they had each been personally signed by one of the five archbishops, with the seals of the Five Great Temples left upon them.
It was clear that these five invitations were highly formal.
"This morning, I received messages from the five archbishops requesting to see you and deliver the invitations. I told them you were in seclusion, so the five archbishops entrusted these five invitations to me!" Annabella the Legendary continued explaining.
As she spoke of this matter, Annabella the Legendary's expression was exceedingly excited.
Because of David, Annabella the Legendary was no longer wanted by the War God Temple and was now even treated with respect by the Five Great Temples.
When the five archbishops contacted her, they had clearly conveyed that respect.
"The temples are handing out rewards this quickly? It starts tomorrow?" Although David had received word from Anton, the Legendary Knight, he was still surprised by the speed of the Five Great Temples. The war had only just ended, yet rewards were already being granted.
"Isn't it obvious? They just want to ease their relationship with the nobility!" Annabella the Legendary replied softly.
David nodded. Though this was ostensibly a reward from the temples, in truth, it was the Five Great Temples acting on behalf of the five gods.
