Colonel Frank's Hover Car was parked on the landing pad atop Emma's villa. As Emma's older brother, Major Frank was one of the few people permitted to approach the villa.
"Brother, you came at just the right time. Join me for a meal!" Emma said with a smile as she stood on the rooftop and looked at Colonel Frank.
Colonel Frank had still been a lieutenant a few years ago. Even with the family's support, it should have been impossible for him to rise to colonel within only a few years.
A major reason he had been promoted to colonel was Emma's relationship with Admiral David.
The day after news of Admiral David's ascension to godhood spread through the federal military, Frank received notice of his promotion, advancing from major to colonel.
For an officer with no military achievements and who had not yet served the required number of years, this was undoubtedly an exceptional promotion.
Colonel Frank understood this perfectly well. He had come specifically to meet Emma and thank her in person. Even between siblings, such help warranted a personal visit.
Of course, what Colonel Frank wanted most was to meet Admiral David in person, but before coming, he had learned through contact that Admiral David had not returned.
"Emma, can you contact Admiral David? This promotion is extremely important to me. I want to thank him in person!" Still holding onto a sliver of hope, Colonel Frank asked Emma.
To be promoted to lieutenant general at Colonel Frank's age gave him an excellent chance of entering the general ranks, especially with the powerful backing of Admiral David.
"It's nothing important. Don't contact David for the time being. He's only just advanced, so he'll probably need a long time to consolidate his strength. We shouldn't disturb him," Emma
