"Wait, didn't Uncle Gallen say we weren't allowed to use longswords?" Myron suddenly remembered something and asked.

"I don't know either. You'll have to ask Uncle Gallen!" David shrugged and took the longsword back from Myron.

"Myron, go practice properly. Don't compare yourself to David. Just focus on doing your best," Gallen said gravely as he came over to them.

Hearing the familiar reply, Myron could only lower his head, pick up a war hammer from the floor, and start practicing.

David felt that Gallen's words had struck Myron down once again.

"David, everyone at Lixin Security Company, from top to bottom, has been taken away for questioning, and the company has been shut down. Now we just have to wait for news," Gallen told him.

He had contacted his people earlier and set them to investigating Lixin Security Company. A company without powerful backing had no chance of resisting a full-scale official investigation.

"Sorry for the trouble, Uncle Gallen!" David said gratefully.

"David, hurry up and grow stronger. Maybe your uncle will need your help someday!" Gallen said with a smile.

To David, it was just a joke, but Gallen had meant every word.

Peilan City was in a bit of turmoil today. The battle between nine Armored Warriors and the deafening sounds of their fighting had left everyone nearby trembling with fear.

Fortunately, it wasn't long before the police arrived to handle things.

But not long afterward, a large number of police officers surrounded Peilan City's biggest security company, Lixin Security Company. Several Armored Warriors had even been dispatched to accompany them.

Everyone at Lixin Security Company, from the general manager to the office clerks and even the cleaning staff, was taken away. Every Light Brain in the company was removed as well.

After the police left, Skynet sealed off the premises. A red Light Screen marked Lixin Security Company as a restricted zone, warning that anyone who entered illegally would be tracked by Skynet.

David spent the entire day practicing the Storm Hammer Technique in the Underground Gym. He wanted to return to his bedroom and check what Shadow Servant had obtained, but Gallen valued him highly and insisted that he repeat the exercises over and over.

By around five in the afternoon, both David and Myron were drenched in sweat, and they had gone through quite a bit of Level 1 Fortified Meat.

Of course, the gap between them had not narrowed with time. After a full day of practice, combined with the excitement of watching the Armored Warriors fight, David's actual War Hammer Mastery had nearly reached 50% proficiency.

He estimated that after another day, he would completely match the skill level of Amos, the deceased Security Supervisor at the Steer Hotel.

Myron, meanwhile, still hadn't reached the entry level. He had only learned most of the Storm Hammer Technique, which would have been a decent result if he hadn't had David to compare himself against.

"All right, that's enough for today!" Gallen said, clapping his hands as he looked at the two exhausted boys.

"Finally! My arms feel like they're about to fall off!" Myron set his war hammer on the floor and shook out his arms.

"Myron, your aptitude isn't the best, so you'll have to practice harder," Gallen reminded him.

Myron froze at those words. Being told his aptitude wasn't the best felt like taking a ten-thousand-point critical hit.

But when he saw David beside him, he immediately felt better.

Uncle Gallen must be comparing me to David. He has to be! he repeated to himself.

"David, we've lost the trail at Lixin Security Company. Supervisor Jixin, who served you, killed himself at the Police Station," Gallen said. There was clear dissatisfaction with the police system in his voice.

Anyone could see that killing himself inside a Police Station made no sense. There were cameras and police on watch. How could Supervisor Jixin have taken his own life so easily?

But this wasn't Gallen's turf, and his people couldn't find anything out there. They could only rely on the local police system. Now that the trail had gone cold, it would be difficult to learn anything more.

"The other Lixin Security Company employees, including their general manager, know nothing about your home's Security System. But since this was done by people from Lixin Security Company, we should at least make them pay," Gallen said. As David watched him speak, he couldn't help feeling that Gallen looked like a bandit.

"I kept Lixin Security Company's main server. Someone will deliver it soon. I know you've studied related subjects, so the server should help you. But you've been learning too many different things, so don't lose sight of what matters. Body Technique and combat techniques are your foundation," Gallen continued.

"Thank you, Uncle Gallen." David had lost count of how many times he'd thanked Gallen, but the excitement at the thought of what he was about to receive was impossible to contain.

A security company's main server would be at least a small server-class machine. A server of that caliber was far more powerful than his K2 Military Electronic Countermeasure Device.

At the very least, when he remotely attacked a target, using a real server would greatly improve the results.

After all, the K2 Military Electronic Countermeasure Device was just a portable piece of combat equipment. It combined a large number of ready-made attack programs with military-grade electronic signals, but its computing power still fell far short of a server.

Gallen smiled. He'd only done it as a small favor, and Lixin Security Company should be grateful he'd held back. Otherwise, it would have gone bankrupt in an instant.

After they ate dinner together, Myron dragged his exhausted body back to his bedroom on the first floor. After training like that, he'd long since lost any desire to go out and have fun.

Gallen left the residence to take care of his own business.

As soon as David returned to his bedroom, he called Shadow Servant over and pressed one hand against its body.

Before he could sense the Knowledge Light Orbs inside Shadow Servant, a warm energy enveloped him. It wasn't quite accurate to say it surrounded him; the warm energy had actually wrapped around his soul.

A pleasant sensation rose from within his soul, just as it had when Shadow Servant transmitted it to him before.

Between the day's exhaustion and the soothing sensation in his soul, he fell into a deep sleep without meaning to.

When he woke again, the time on his Identity Bracelet showed ten in the evening.

"Shadow Servant, display my Attribute Panel!" He pressed his hand against Shadow Servant again and gave the order.

On his Attribute Panel, he saw Spirit: 3.4 (1). His Spirit had increased by 0.4.

As his Spirit grew, new insights came to him when he recalled the Storm Hammer Technique. He saw War Hammer Mastery (82% proficiency) change on his Attribute Panel, becoming War Hammer Mastery (83% proficiency).

In other words, his insights into the day's practice had taken him beyond the knowledge of War Hammer Mastery he'd gained from Amos. He now had knowledge of the technique of his own.

"Maybe I really am a genius!" David said with some smugness.

Amos had been through countless battles to achieve that level, yet David had gained 1% just by thinking about it. How could he not feel pleased with himself?

But when he turned his thoughts to Electronic Warfare, he couldn't come up with any insights at all, let alone improve its mastery.

Unconvinced, he tried thinking about Heavy Axe Mastery (33% entry) and Body Technique (1% proficiency). Thinking alone didn't increase either one by even 1%.

He recalled the Storm Hammer Technique Gallen had taught him and the five Liuguang Armored Warriors he'd watched using it in battle that day. He couldn't help shaking his head. So that was where the 1% increase in his War Hammer Mastery had come from.

Amos had never had the chance to learn the Storm Hammer Technique. All of his improvement in War Hammer Mastery had come from actual combat, while David had the Storm Hammer Technique and so naturally knew more than Amos.

Having figured out the reason, David focused his attention inside Shadow Servant. He saw four newly acquired Knowledge Light Orbs.

Two of the new Knowledge Light Orbs were yellow, and their color was especially rich even for yellow.

The other two were orange, which should mean they contained knowledge at only the proficient level.

These four Knowledge Light Orbs also confirmed something he had never been completely certain of: each soul could yield only one Knowledge Light Orb.

He focused on the four Knowledge Light Orbs, and their attributes appeared before him.

Long Sword Mastery (80% mastery), Spear Mastery (99% mastery), Shield Mastery (50% proficiency), Heavy Axe Mastery (70% proficiency).
