Background & History

David’s predecessor summoned the Shadow Servant through a dangerous sacrificial method from God’s Great World. The manual presented it as a divine attendant capable of becoming its master’s best combat assistant, supposedly possessing titanic strength, lightning speed, flight, defensive transformation, and coordinated attacks. The sacrifice consumed most of the predecessor’s soul, while the remaining soul fragment and memories were absorbed by the newly summoned entity. 6 8

The sacrifice had been directed toward an unknown deity. David later discovered that the Shadow Servant had been created by a bald, muscular god researching souls; the god’s surviving remnant soul had hidden within it. The remnant used the servant to gather soul energy, returning only a minute filtered portion to David while intending eventually to claim David’s body as a divine body. 593 1089

During the divine conflict in David’s Soul Space, the bald god’s remnant fell. David feared the Shadow Servant would vanish with its creator, but it remained at his side. The removal of the hidden remnant ended the contract’s concealed danger, although the servant became less independently intelligent and required more explicit commands. 595 598

David later learned that the former god had manipulated the servant’s soul-energy conversion, withholding most of the harvest. Afterward, David began dividing acquired soul energy evenly with the Shadow Servant, accelerating its growth. 603 653

Appearance

The Shadow Servant initially appears as a blurry, semi-transparent humanoid shadow. It normally remains invisible, but its form became increasingly solid after it absorbed large quantities of Level 5 soul energy. 7 724

Federation Survival and Growth

The Shadow Servant first enables David to survive attacks that should have been fatal by concealing him from mercenaries and detection equipment. It then becomes the mechanism through which David gathers souls, gains Knowledge Light Orbs, and rapidly develops his Spirit, skills, and Talents. 19 21 29

It serves as David’s primary scout during Zerg operations and mercenary conflicts, searching underground areas, monitoring battlefields, discovering enemy camps, and securing corpses before others can investigate them. 194 435 495

Origin Planet and God’s Great World

After the bald god’s remnant is removed, the Shadow Servant becomes fully loyal to David but less autonomous. Its improved speed allows David to carry out remote assassinations while maintaining an alibi, and its spatial abilities become essential for infiltrating noble estates, hidden chambers, and protected locations. 598 606 667 850
