Longsword Armored Warriors were extremely rare among Armored Warriors. A longsword was a light weapon, making it difficult to kill Zerg with a single blow in battle. So unless an Armored Warrior had reached the peak, none would use a longsword as their weapon.

But once an ordinary Armored Warrior reached the peak, why would he give up the weapon he had always used and start studying Long Sword Mastery from scratch? It would waste a great deal of time and effort.

Only someone like Commander Froman, a mercenary who had become a Peak Armored Warrior at an early age, would spare no effort to amass wealth in pursuit of greater strength. Earlier, when Myron had called David a genius, he hadn't been convinced. He hadn't managed to become an Armored Warrior, but he was still much stronger than most ordinary people.

He and Jim were alike. Neither had been able to qualify for an Armored Warrior program at university, but they didn't want to give up. Using their family connections, they had constantly pushed themselves, hoping to become Armored Warriors through sheer practice.

Though this path was many times more difficult than becoming an Armored Warrior while at university, there were plenty of examples in the military to inspire them.

But today, for the first time, he had felt the difference between himself and a true genius—a gulf as vast as the distance between heaven and earth.
