The Trap

Cameron, the level-five bishop, moved cautiously, a smug look already appearing on his face.

Being able to escape from a temple purge of such scale would become a point of honor for him, one recorded in the history of Twilight of the Gods.

Cameron looked at the planetary Portal not far away. At this moment, the planetary Portal had not been shut down.

The priests likely all believed their Light Divine Art could not possibly have missed anything, so no one was guarding the planetary Portal. Instead, people occasionally entered and exited through it.

Duner Star's planetary Portal was not a public Portal. Even Bishop Evans and Bishop Borin did not have the authority to seal it.

Lord Arthur, who did have that authority, had not appeared, so naturally no one dealt with the planetary Portal.

Cameron no longer cared where Lord Arthur was. The moment more than two hundred priests appeared, he had decided to escape. How could he still concern himself with assassinating Lord Arthur?

In fact, after that brief clash with Lord Arthur, he had long since lost confidence in carrying out the assassination.

Because Cameron had discovered that he seemed to have found a rival in assassination. Lord Arthur's fighting style was extremely similar to the combat style inherited from the God of Shadows: concealing himself before delivering a fatal strike.

When two assassins both fought in this manner, it was no longer a contest of combat power, but a matter of who could find the other first.

With Cameron's Shadow Divine Art, Lord Arthur truly could not find him—but he likewise could not find Lord Arthur. How was such a battle supposed to continue?

As Cameron walked, the gray robe on his body vanished when he rounded a corner and entered the range of the
