The Zerg emerging from the Zerg world split into two groups. One joined the Zerg force pursuing the energy avatars of Level 5 Temple Knights Dexter and Nelson.
The terrifying numbers of the Zerg became plainly apparent at this time. Along the long pursuit route, the Zerg force stretched farther and farther, yet never broke apart.
Of course, only a small portion was pursuing the two energy avatars. Most of the Zerg still remained near the Space Gate.
The Zerg at the Space Gate waited. When the Space Ripper swarm appeared, every Zerg assumed a stance ready to move out.
A Space Ripper abruptly unleashed the gathered spatial energy, and the first Space Wormhole appeared.
This Space Wormhole had been opened randomly, without a target. It led an extremely long distance away, and even the Space Ripper on the other side did not know where it led.
However, this was merely one of the Zerg's scouting methods. As hundreds of Space Rippers opened hundreds of Space Wormholes, the Zerg orderly entered them according to their strength.
The capacity of a Space Wormhole was related to the strength of the Space Ripper and the distance it spanned. Without considering the Zerg's return journey, each Space Wormhole could accommodate at most several Level 3 Zerg passing through.
This was not an attack, but merely reconnaissance, so every Zerg sent out was a Level 1 Zerg known as a Ripper Fly.
Beguiling Brain Bugs that specialized in mental power linked their brains with those of the Ripper Flies. No matter how far away they were, they could receive the information transmitted back by the Ripper Flies.
Though the Space Wormholes were randomly opened without targets, they were not activated haphazardly. Instead, they were dispersed in every direction.
