Faith
On the night of the award ceremony, David, far away on Guardian Star, sat in his bedroom. Ever since receiving the title of "Invincible Knight," he had felt that something was off.
There was no fighting on Guardian Star either. The Interstellar Federation military's third batch of reinforcements had arrived—a fleet of ten thousand warships, with an Aircraft Carrier as its flagship. This greatly strengthened Guardian Star's defenses.
At present, the Interstellar Federation's scouts were redeploying their detectors. However, the starfields too close to the Space Gate had clearly been heavily reinforced, and the detectors could not approach them at all. Any that drew near would be destroyed by the Zerg.
David had nothing to do at headquarters. Feeling that something was wrong with his body, he returned to his room to conduct a thorough examination.
His mind swept through his entire body, then entered the small world within Soul Space and scanned himself again. He found nothing unusual, yet he was one hundred percent certain that something had happened to him.
"Alexis, help me take a look. What's happened to me? I keep feeling that something isn't right!" David could only turn to Black Dragon Alexis for help.
Ever since Black Dragon Alexis had mentioned having David learn the method of becoming a god through faith, he had often spent long periods pondering related matters, hoping to be of help to David.
Hearing David's words, Black Dragon Alexis withdrew from his thoughts and looked up at him.
"Huh? Lord Arthur, why is there so much faith surrounding you?" Black Dragon Alexis asked in surprise.
The reason David could sense that something was abnormal without discovering the source was because the power of faith was extremely difficult to detect.
He had no inheritance for becoming a god through faith.
