Lynch figured Old Neil was simply getting old and feeling too lonely cooped up at home, which was why the Hidden Sage had been able to confuse and manipulate him.
Now that he had a young man like Lynch to keep him company, perhaps Old Neil would be able to shake off that feeling soon.
But unfortunately, Old Neil had nearly been driven to his grave by Lynch.
Old Neil had kicked Lynch out of his house.
Lynch was currently using the Sleepless Pathway, which was almost certainly Dunn's.
He'd picked up Dunn's habit of suddenly thinking of something. While Old Neil was explaining one problem to him, Lynch had only then remembered a clue about the previous one.
And so, after two hours, the tutoring session finally came to an end. Lynch tugged his clothes tighter around himself, thinking Old Neil had been far too harsh.
His memory was just a little poor. It wasn't as if there was something wrong with him as a person. He really couldn't understand why Old Neil had to act like that.
Meanwhile, Old Neil, whose head was throbbing from anger, did something unusual and didn't continue with his experiments. He lay down in bed, cursed Lynch's stupid brain, and drifted off to sleep.
Before falling asleep, he sincerely hoped Lynch wouldn't show up in front of him again. He'd had more than enough.
But that wish was soon dashed.
The next morning, as soon as he entered the Nighthawks' office, he saw Lynch, that rascal, eating and drinking while holding something in his hands.
