Old Neil did not begin the lesson right away. Instead, he first checked how well Lynch and the others had grasped yesterday's material. When he found that Lynch had actually mastered it all, a worried look appeared in his eyes.

"You don't need to work this hard. I know you want to meet Dunn's requirements as soon as possible and don't want to make me angry, but it's fine to let things take their natural course. Look at Klein—he hasn't mastered a lot of it, yet he doesn't seem ashamed at all. You just care too much about what others think."

Klein: ...

How had he suddenly gotten criticized?

He had not offended either of these two!

Besides, it was not that he had failed to grasp a lot of it. There were merely a few areas he did not fully understand, and he was not as clear on them as Lynch was. Who knew Old Neil would say something like that? It was too much!

"I want compensation too! Old Neil has wounded my self-esteem!"

Klein shouted loudly.

Old Neil's lips twitched.

Thank goodness Dunn had not heard that, or he really would become a thorn in Dunn's side.

Two perfectly good newcomers—what had they turned into after spending some time with him?

"Don't you dare tell Dunn, or I won't take you to the underground market!"

Old Neil threatened.

Lynch and Klein looked over at the same time, longing evident in their eyes.

Lynch truly wanted to go and broaden his horizons. Even though he had read the novel, he was still intensely curious about a place like that. He had been transported here for so long, yet he had never gone around exploring.

Klein wanted to go even more. He had never even heard of it before!
