With the Black Iron Grade Fishing Rod in hand, Su Yu didn't need to struggle with the catch. He could simply haul it up by brute force.
Seeing the chest's details, Su Yu was honestly a little surprised. This was his first time encountering a Five-Star Monster Treasure Chest, and the creature inside was far stronger than a Goblin.

"Holy crap, it's hideous. Are Jiaoren and those Sea Monkeys close cousins or something?" Looking at the sharp-toothed, jut-jawed Jiaoren not far away, Su Yu felt his stomach turn.
Before the still-dazed Jiaoren could react, Su Yu raised his pistol and began firing.
"Bang, bang, bang." Su Yu fired several shots in a row.
At such close range, and with Su Yu's current physical abilities, it was no surprise that he didn't miss. But he still didn't hit the Jiaoren's head.
The moment the first bullet punched a hole in its body, the Jiaoren had clamped both hands over its head and let out a piercing shriek.
Sound traveled fast, so Su Yu was hit by the attack at once.
But standing on the island, Su Yu's Spirit attribute was nearly twice the Jiaoren's. The Jiaoren Shriek only made his head feel a little heavy before its effect faded.
"Damn, other people's yelling costs money, but yours costs lives!" Once he'd recovered, Su Yu didn't bother conserving bullets and fired several more quick shots.
"Bang, bang." Each shot punched a small, bloody hole in the Jiaoren's body.
But the Jiaoren had a strong constitution. Until a vital area was hit, Su Yu's ordinary old-fashioned pistol lost much of its killing power after piercing the scales and dense muscles.
"Buzz." Nearly driven mad by the pain, the Jiaoren had already fixed its gaze on the culprit attacking it from nearby. Gripping its Spear in one hand, it hurled it at Su Yu with all its might.
Su Yu had been watching the Jiaoren closely, so there was no way he'd let it hit him. If that thing struck him, even his constitution wouldn't keep it from piercing right through his body.
After throwing the Spear, the Jiaoren lay on the ground, glaring at Su Yu with a savage expression. Unable to stand upright on land, it could only prop itself halfway up.
Now that the Jiaoren had no Spear and had already used its skill, it was no different from a fish waiting to be butchered in Su Yu's eyes.
Gripping the Hundred-Refined Goose-Quill Saber, Su Yu accelerated and charged at the Jiaoren.
At such close range, the Jiaoren lying half-propped on the ground hadn't even had time to react before Su Yu's saber struck its neck. Seeing that the blow hadn't quite severed its head, Su Yu sprang backward and put some distance between them, lest he get splattered with blood.
The savage look had vanished from the Jiaoren's face. In its place was an expression of bewilderment and disbelief.
Then came a heavy thud as the Jiaoren's body crashed to the ground, blood pooling around it.

After Su Yu killed the Jiaoren, a flash of white light passed over its body, and it vanished from the ground. Only the blood left behind showed that anything had happened there.
At the same time, two burly Jiaoren appeared before Su Yu. They were both lying half-propped on the ground.
"You two, go into the sea first," Su Yu ordered after looking at them.
"Thank you, Master." A hint of delight appeared on the two Jiaoren Guards' savage faces as they heard his order. They braced their arms against the ground and rapidly crawled away.
"Splash." With two splashes, the Jiaoren Guards successfully leaped into the sea.
