Background / History
Su Yu drowned on Earth and soul-transmigrated to the Endless Sea of Return to Ruins, a parallel world where his former world, Shuilan Star, had already been destroyed. He awakened on a small island as a Level 1 Island Master with a Novice Survival Treasure Chest, a fishing rod, and seven days of novice protection. 1
His early rise was defined by two talents: SSS-grade Insight, which let him inspect people, creatures, and treasures in detail, and Double Happiness, which doubled treasure-chest rewards. By trading scarce goods, fishing for treasure chests, and consuming attribute potions, he rapidly became the top-ranked survivor in his region. 9 25
After novice protection ended, Su Yu shifted from individual survival to island expansion. He acquired servants, subordinates, defensive creatures, a Ghost Ship, and the foundations of a mobile island force. He subdued or eliminated nearby Island Masters, collected Island Hearts, and became feared among regional survivors as a “tyrant.” 71 87 96
In the Level One Sea Area, Su Yu pursued simultaneous soul, body, martial, Shikigami, and rule cultivation. He developed Chaos Island into a fortified power center while using the Great Zhou Dynasty and Wantong Chamber of Commerce as sources of intelligence, techniques, commerce, and rare resources. 125 160 175
His expansion eventually brought him into conflict with King Continent’s great families and the ten Sacred Lands. After subduing the families’ representatives and killing multiple King-level opponents, Su Yu became a major threat to the Central Sea Area’s established powers. 210 220 230
After reaching the Emperor Realm and upgrading Chaos Island to Level 20, Su Yu departed the Level One Sea Area for the Sea of Gods. There, he infiltrated the Hundred Races Continent to study its divine cultivation system and later confronted the Sea of Gods’ major divine factions. 259 261 295
Appearance
Su Yu is repeatedly noted for his exceptional appearance, which became more pronounced after extensive body tempering. Wang Dachuan identified him as an “impossibly handsome” man, while later cultivation left him outwardly composed even when his body contained overwhelming power. 70 182 205
- His pupils changed after integrating his Divine Eyes. 78
- Sun-and-moon phenomena can briefly appear within his eyes after cultivation. 214
- He can enlarge his entire body to approximately fifteen meters; this doubles his combat power but increases True Power consumption. 178
- His perfected apertures, meridians, blood, and bones were tempered with Star Power, forming a low-tier Star Physique. 178
Personality
Su Yu is highly pragmatic and resource-driven. He treats treasure chests, cultivation methods, talents, personnel, and trade deals as assets to be assessed for long-term value. His negotiations with Zhou Yi and Ji Ruoyan show patience, restraint, and a preference for securing favorable terms rather than acting impulsively. 61 175 176
He is also decisive and ruthless toward perceived threats. He openly threatened non-Huaguo survivors after consolidating regional power, uses mental and rule-based control over valuable subordinates, and rejects surrender when an enemy offers nothing useful to him. 71 201 239
Despite his severity, Su Yu delegates extensively to capable followers. He entrusts exploration to Di Yi, strategic deduction and island navigation to Zhou Yi, commerce to Shen Wansan, and administration to Heshen rather than personally managing every detail. 61 142 175
Abilities & Skills
Insight Talent
Su Yu’s SSS-grade Insight Talent reveals detailed information about living beings, items, talents, skills, cultivation methods, combat potential, and hidden properties.

- Reveals treasure properties, including the Crystal Source sustaining Golden Roc Mountain. 237
- Lets him perceive the visible fortune of certain people after reaching the King Realm, including Xiao Chen’s diminished golden-dragon fortune. 201

Double / Quadruple Happiness
His unknown-grade talent duplicates rewards obtained from treasure chests and remains upgradable.
- Doubled a Strength Attribute Potion reward, allowing Su Yu to consume two potions instead of one. 9
- Later manifested as Quadruple Happiness, producing four copies of the Dao Heart Planting Demon Technique and Primary Elemental Hearts. 166 195
- Gives Su Yu disproportionate returns from rare chests, techniques, pills, rule crystals, and cultivation resources. 166 251
Divine Eyes
Su Yu possesses the Primary Copy Divine Eye and the Phantom/Illusion Divine Eye, both of which evolved after absorbing divine power. 78 163 192
- Copying — Copies cultivation techniques and skills from other beings, including Xiantian Art, Water Walking, sword arts, Bloodthirst, Hegemonic Aura, and Shikigami abilities. 87 99
- Limitations of copied skills — Copied abilities may be weakened or unusable if Su Yu lacks the necessary cultivation, physical traits, or prerequisites. 88
- Illusion — Pulls opponents into an illusory world or Illusion Space; Hydra was trapped and defeated through this power, while Hua Xinghai and the great-family representatives were mentally broken by it. 195 209 210
- Divine Eye source power — After advancement, the Phantom God Pupil became a trump card capable of threatening high-level King opponents at the cost of its source power. 163
Soul Sutra and Mental Control
The Soul Sutra: First Volume is Su Yu’s foundational soul-cultivation method and supports his control-oriented abilities. 57 78
- Hypnosis — Consumes mental energy to influence ordinary beings and modify memories through subconscious suggestion. 57
- Heart Lock — Imprisons a target’s spiritual thoughts, allows life-and-death control, and grants Su Yu 5% of the spiritual power generated by the controlled target’s cultivation. 78
- Heart Lock limitation — A target with more than ten times Su Yu’s total spiritual power can trigger backlash. 78
- Soul Marks — Supports master-servant contracts and allows Su Yu to summon contracted beings such as Gold Rank Shikigami. 123 146
Seed of Rules
Su Yu combined the Dao Heart Planting Demon Technique with the Law of Life and the Soul Sutra to create a stronger control method.
- Plants a Seed of Rules directly into a target’s soul. 201
- Rebellion causes the seed to drain the target’s soul power and lifespan to nourish itself. 201
- Used to subdue King-level Jiaoren, great-family representatives, and later informants connected through karmic links. 201 210 250
Indestructible Golden Body and Star Physique
Su Yu’s primary body-cultivation path is the Indestructible Golden Body Technique, which progressed from Iron Body to the Great Perfection Sun Radiance Golden Body. 84 237
- His opened apertures grant partial and full-body gigantification. 173 178
- Opening 108 apertures unlocked self-absorption of Star Power and heightened affinity with natural energies. 178
- Opening all 365 apertures formed a Small Heavenly Circuit and transformed his body toward a Star Physique. 178
- The Great Perfection Sun Radiance Golden Body can withstand attacks from ordinary Title King experts, including their Rule Power. 237
Martial Arts and Sword Dao
Su Yu supplements body cultivation with internal True Essence and martial techniques.
- Cultivated Xiantian Art to perfection and developed Xiantian True Qi. 99
- Condensed Killing True Essence, later transformed into Great Sun True Essence through Star and solar cultivation. 178
- Comprehended the Rudimentary Tyrant Sword Dao, characterized by overwhelming and direct force rather than intricate variation. 174
- Achieved great success in Sword Intent and Blade Intent by the time he entered the Purple Extreme Golden Body Realm. 192
Laws and Rule Bodies
Su Yu’s later cultivation centers on integrating multiple Laws into his apertures and rule phantoms.
- Mastered the Law of Water through the Gonggong Dharma Image. 181 182
- Fused Elemental Hearts to rapidly develop Fire, Wood, Metal, Earth, and Yin-Yang Artistic Conceptions. 195
- Comprehended and developed the Laws of Five Elements, Yin-Yang, Space, Time, Luck, Karma, Life, and Creation. 252
- Uses the Law of Space for infiltration, movement, and evasion; the Sacred Lands considered it a major reason they could not reliably besiege him. 226 232
- Can form rule-based bodies such as an Elemental Giant and draw on multiple rule powers simultaneously. 244 246
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Ghost Ship — Su Yu’s primary vessel; supports stealth, extreme-speed travel, storage, infiltration, and interception of fleeing targets. 167 195
- Ascension Tower — His principal cultivation site; houses troops, supports seclusion, and became further unsealed after his Emperor Realm breakthrough. 160 259
- Heavenly Secret Pavilion / Heavenly Secret Instrument — Provides sea-chart monitoring, deductions, communication, image transmission, and concealment against divination. 142 153 221
- Star Sword — A Purple Gold Rank sword selected from the Wantong Chamber of Commerce treasury. 176
- One-Yuan Illusion Array and One-Yuan Killing Array — Chaos Island defensive formations capable of confusing or killing Bronze Rank targets after upgrades. 142
- Primary Elemental Hearts — Four elemental treasures obtained from Hydra’s chest; used to accelerate Su Yu’s elemental comprehension. 195
Relationships
- Zhou Yi — Subordinate, strategist, and deduction specialist. Su Yu rescued him from Sea Monkeys, accepted his submission, upgraded his authority, and entrusted him with the Heavenly Secret Pavilion and island navigation. 97 142
- Di Yi — Trusted explorer and field commander. Su Yu assigned him exploration, Island Heart collection, and external expeditions. 61 84

- Ao Yan — Loyal sea-creature subordinate. Su Yu copied several abilities from him, including Bloodthirst, Bite, and Hegemonic Aura. 87 88
