At this level, however, the skeletons still couldn't communicate with Su Yu. They possessed only a faint, feeble intelligence; perhaps they would be able to speak with him directly after advancing.

That didn't stop Su Yu from giving them orders.

"You lot, come over and find them a place to stay." Su Yu glanced at the goblins peeking nervously in his direction from nearby and called out to them.

At their master's command, the goblins scampered over on their short little legs, then cautiously led the ten big-brother skeletons toward their own lodgings.

After settling the ten Broadsword Skeletons, Su Yu turned his attention to the other single-use Troop Summoning Altar.

He did as before, inserting ten Common Energy Crystals, then once again chose the trait that meant they didn't need food.

There was no helping it. If circumstances allowed, Su Yu would have liked to choose some other troop type.

But right now, the island was tiny. If he summoned troops that needed food, drink, and a place to sleep and relieve themselves, he really would have a headache.

Taking all that into account, Su Yu thought the undead were simply perfect. Their intelligence was a little low at first, but he wouldn't have to worry about much. They didn't need to sleep, eat, drink, or relieve themselves. Simply perfect.

"Am I going to end up following the path of an Undead Overlord?" After glancing at the ten tall Common Bandaged Mummies before him, a strange thought crossed Su Yu's mind.

He shook off the thought and checked the attributes of all ten mummies. This time, though, his luck wasn't as good as before.

All ten Common Mummies had the same maximum advancement potential: Black Iron Grade Elite Mummy. Not one had particularly outstanding potential.

Su Yu wasn't too disappointed. After all, he couldn't hog every good thing in the world for himself.

"You're the captain from now on." After a moment's thought, Su Yu casually pointed to one of the Bandaged Mummies.

The Bandaged Mummy he'd selected nodded mechanically. Like the Broadsword Skeletons, the Bandaged Mummies could understand Su Yu's orders, but they couldn't communicate with him.

Su Yu didn't mind. They were all the lowest-level troops. What was there to worry about?

"Come over again and take these guys over too." Su Yu glanced at the goblins, who had already settled the ten Broadsword Skeletons outside the Thorn Fence, and called out once more.

The goblins were miserable. So many big brothers had suddenly arrived on the island. How could they not feel the pressure?

Though they were slaves who were utterly loyal to Su Yu, goblins were intelligent beings too, and had thoughts of their own.

Fortunately, the goblins had realized that these imposing big brothers didn't seem able to speak. The thought made them breathe a little easier: at least for now, they weren't completely useless in their master's eyes.

As the goblins led the ten mummies away, another notification sounded in Su Yu's ears.

"There's a reward like this too?" The moment he heard the notification, Su Yu claimed it. A free treasure chest was not to be passed up!

"And now that I've built the Thorn Fence, it looks like I've gone and trapped myself!" Su Yu stared at the fence and couldn't help lamenting his own foolishness.

But if it was getting in the way of his progress, then down it had to come!

"All of you, get over here." Su Yu looked at the Thorn Fence and called out in a low voice.

The Bandaged Mummies crawled out of the earth beside the fence, while the Broadsword Skeletons rose straight up from the ground. As for the goblins, the moment they heard their master call, they scampered over.

"Take down this whole fence." Once everyone had gathered, Su Yu pointed at the Thorn Fence surrounding them. The goblins, mummies, and Broadsword Skeletons immediately got to work.

Dismantling it was easy for the undead. The Thorns on the fence had no effect on them at all.

The Thorn Fence Su Yu had built didn't last long in their hands before it was completely taken apart.

The Thorns they removed were piled in a corner of the island. They could still be used as firewood, after all.

After taking down the fence, they dismantled the Wooden Cabin. Once the flurry of activity was over, the spot where Su Yu had built the cabin was clear again, and all the treasure chests inside had been moved elsewhere.
