Appearance
The Ghost Ship can appear as a tattered model when not deployed, then enlarge into a massive vessel at least fifty meters long; this is not its maximum size. Its weathered exterior is deliberately misleading, while its cockpit is lavishly furnished with a luxurious pilot’s chair. 110
- Tattered outward appearance intended to suit its name. 110
- Can shrink to roughly ten meters for entering confined ruins. 130
- Can be stored within Su Yu’s dantian when reduced. 116
- Its interior contains a cockpit, cargo hold, and enough internal space to contain Chaos Island. 227
Artificial Intelligence
The Ghost Ship’s true spirit remains dormant, but its partially unsealed functions provide an intelligent navigation system capable of receiving orders through Su Yu’s mental consciousness. 109 110
- Accepts navigational, stealth, diving, and scanning commands. 110 193
- Can navigate automatically after receiving a destination. 110
- Operates without a helmsman and can draw energy from small dimensional spaces. 109
- Can integrate with the Heavenly Secret Instrument Sub-device for automated route planning. 144
Abilities & Functions
Mobility and Dimensional Traversal
The Ghost Ship can fly, burrow, travel underwater, and traverse space; its time-travel function remains sealed. 109
- Activates stealth mode and can vanish from the surrounding sea area. 110
- Travels underwater without being affected by seawater. 111
- Performs short-range spatial jumps for rapid repositioning. 143 160
- Can cross great distances quickly enough for Su Yu to use it as his primary means of movement between sea regions. 180 215
- Its normal speed is not enough to outrun a Title King Realm Golden Roc using a flight secret art. 227
Detection and Navigation
The vessel functions as Su Yu’s mobile scouting platform.
- Detects strong energy reactions, including the entrance to the Merman Small Relic two thousand meters below the sea. 129
- Uses maximum-range detection to locate Level 10 islands. 193
- Receives map-based routes from the Heavenly Secret Instrument Sub-device. 144
- Can sail autonomously toward selected destinations. 110
Capture, Containment, and Storage
The Ghost Ship can seize targets directly and secure them within its internal space.
- Captured a Five-Star Black Iron Treasure Chest and the Elite Psychedelic Jellyfish guarding it. 111
- Creatures below Purple Gold Rank have virtually no possibility of escaping once locked inside. 111
- Collected large quantities of ordinary and Black Iron Rank Sea Clan creatures during Su Yu’s hunts. 126
- Retrieved massive targets, including the corpse of a Silver Rank Wild Whale Shark and the Nine-Headed Snake King. 127 195
- Contained the entirety of Chaos Island, including its inhabitants, within its internal space. 227
Combat and Defensive Utility
The Ghost Ship is Su Yu’s strongest offensive Special Building during its early unsealed state. 111
- Its initial unsealed offensive power is comparable to an ordinary Purple Gold Rank being. 109
- Its power can protect Su Yu from formation attacks and allow him to pass through solid ground. 119 130
- Rammed and seriously injured the Light Holy Knight Everly before expanding to drag him into its internal space. 280
- Can suppress opponents at Three Suns or below, but cannot reliably suppress High Dawn Wizard-level targets. 280
History
Su Yu initially kept the Ghost Ship in model form alongside his other Special Buildings. After placing the Heavenly Secret Pavilion, Alchemy Pavilion, and Ascension Tower on his island, he cast the model into the sea, where it expanded into a fifty-meter vessel. He immediately ordered it to activate stealth and automatic navigation toward a point one hundred nautical miles northwest. 110
Soon after its deployment, the Ghost Ship became central to Su Yu’s underwater treasure hunting. It descended to five hundred meters, captured a Five-Star Black Iron Treasure Chest, and imprisoned the Elite Psychedelic Jellyfish guarding it. 111
In the Level One Sea Area, Su Yu used it for long-distance exploration, seabed mining, ruin raids, and the transport of powerful subordinates and massive prey. The vessel located the Merman Small Relic, carried Su Yu into its interior, and later supported the retrieval of resources from the Sea King Ruins. 129 130 143 198
As Su Yu’s power grew, the Ghost Ship became his principal strategic refuge and mobile base. During the pursuit by Central Sea Area powers, it absorbed Chaos Island into its internal space and carried the entire island away from danger. 227
Relationships
- Su Yu — Owner and mental operator; commands its navigation, stealth, scanning, capture, and spatial-jump functions. 110 129 193
- Chaos Island — Stored within the Ghost Ship’s internal space during Su Yu’s escape from pursuing enemies. 227
- Heavenly Secret Instrument Sub-device — Supplies sea maps and routes, allowing automated navigation to selected locations. 144
Trivia
- Survivors first used the term “ghost ship” for Su Yu’s Charge vessels after seeing skeletons and mummies attack islands; the actual Ghost Ship appeared later. 67 109
- Despite its name and battered exterior, the Ghost Ship’s cockpit is described as extremely luxurious. 110
- The Ghost Ship is identified as a true divine artifact, unlike Su Yu’s imitation divine artifacts. 259
