Several large oases in that region, shaped over long periods by natural magic, had in fact been the work of the Lost Desert Clan.
For various reasons, people gradually stopped paying attention to the Lost Desert.
It had shown no unusual activity over the years.
Those living near the area knew of its dangers and generally stayed away.
Even traveling merchants chose to take detours around it.
Moreover, the spatial disturbances produced by the Lost Desert caused the people living there to gradually relocate.
In short, it was now a barren, utterly overlooked place within the kingdom.
Other than unlucky fools and youngsters dazzled by adventure tales, no one went there.
Narrowing his eyes, Prince Ayub suddenly sensed that something was amiss.
Then another question came to mind.
Why would a Chosen One holding eleven Fate Components go there?
