Though Black Cleave was considered a large imperial-guard blade by human standards and Firelick Carlrig's size, before Mogeluo Ga it was like a toy knife!
Each blade of its [Twin Dark Demons] measured three and a half meters long. The two-meter-tall Firelick Carlrig was not even as tall as the great cleaver, demonstrating the enormous gap in strength between them.
A large build had both drawbacks and advantages. At least in a head-on clash, Mogeluo Ga feared no opponent!
Clang!
A clear, piercing ring echoed as their weapons collided.
Force was mutual, and both sides endured the same recoil. Firelick Carlrig was affected more severely because its ability to withstand it was weaker.
Mogeluo Ga's sweeping cleaver grazed past the edge of its waist and abdomen.
Had Firelick Carlrig hesitated even slightly, the cleaver would have sliced open its belly.
However, as a second-generation Blackwater Sword Saint, Firelick Carlrig was naturally not so easily injured.
Using the recoil, it flew backward smoothly and narrowly avoided Mogeluo Ga's backhand slash.
Whoosh!
A black shadow flickered, and it entered stealth once more.
Mogeluo Ga did not grow complacent just because it had gained the upper hand in one exchange. It gripped [Twin Dark Demons] tightly and stood ready, drawing upon its warrior instincts to sense Firelick Carlrig's location.
Retreating immediately after a failed strike was a scout's style. Yet Firelick Carlrig was actually a blade master and sword saint; it should have used its agility, superb evasion, and ambush abilities to launch another attack.
But it did not wish to waste any more effort. That was a wise choice.
After going berserk, Mogeluo Ga was nothing but a lump of muscle, strong enough to tear apart a prairie mammoth with its bare hands.
Only an idiot would choose to confront it head-on.
