Background

Liu Chu began as the impoverished son of a fisherman. Unable to rely on wealth or family standing, he regarded martial training as his chance to change his fate and worked through the Dragon Tiger Martial Arts Hall’s harsh practice regimen despite the cost of food and cultivation resources. 4 11

Yang Wenhuai initially considered Liu Chu’s innate aptitude average and expected his background to make a rapid breakthrough unlikely. Liu Chu instead entered the Ninth Grade Skin Refining Realm within the expected three-month period, relying on exceptional comprehension and diligence to overcome his weaker natural foundation. 11 12 36

After rising through the hall, Liu Chu became leader of the Black Dragon Gang. He earned the loyalty of its members by listening to gang affairs, reassuring subordinate leaders, and retaliating decisively when gang members were harmed. 23 31

His public reputation later became inseparable from the masked identity of the Black Dragon Blade Lord. Under that name, he slaughtered powerful opponents, defeated the Three-Hatred Blade Lord, and became a legendary figure in Zhaojiang City before the Dragon Tiger Martial Arts Hall disciples connected the identity to Liu Chu. 113 130 133

Appearance

Liu Chu is commonly seen in black clothing with a long blade at his waist. When acting as the Black Dragon Blade Lord, he wears a Black Dragon Mask. 45 110 130

Personality

Liu Chu is driven, practical, and intensely focused on gaining strength. He sees martial cultivation as necessary for survival, wealth, and freedom of action, and consistently prioritizes resources, techniques, and opportunities that improve his combat ability. 10 48 84

Despite his rapid rise, he usually remains calm under pressure. He speaks little in battle, assesses opponents accurately, and avoids relying on prolonged fights when decisive killing strikes are available. 21 59 81

He is cautious rather than reckless. After killing multiple Organ Cleansing Realm experts, he still postpones his assault on the Lingjian Sect until he has further perfected his techniques and secret art. 129

Liu Chu can be respectful toward seniors and allies, particularly Yang Wenhuai, but he is ruthless toward enemies who threaten him, his associates, or his objectives. 11 60 93
