Background / History

Caidie is Queen Medusa Cailin's younger sister and the Snake-People Tribe's Second Miss. Before the story's opening, she used a forbidden technique to flee the tribe, later suffering soul damage that left her without memories. While amnesiac, she is found as a confused and helpless snake-woman in the Tagor Desert. 14 25

Su Baichen offers to take her in as his maid, gives her the name Caidie, and promises protection. She accepts immediately, guided by an instinctive sense that he means her no harm. Though she cannot remember her past, she quickly becomes protective of Cao Ying and defies the Snake-People elders who attempt to seize them. 15

Su Baichen gives Caidie a seventh-grade Transformation Pill. It grants her complete human form, restores her damaged soul and memories, gives her human cultivation talent, and raises her cultivation from six-star to nine-star Dou Wang. With her memories restored, she learns how grave the Snake-People Tribe's position has become and resolves to seek Su Baichen's help for her people. 18 19 20

Despite being pursued by the tribe's elders, Caidie forgives them after Su Baichen agrees to spare the Snake-People. She brings food and fifth-grade healing pills to the injured Third and Fourth Elders, affirming that the tribe remains her home. 23 24

Personality

Caidie is fundamentally kind, loyal, and emotionally attached to both her sister and the Snake-People Tribe. Although initially sheltered from tribal affairs, she accepts responsibility when she understands the tribe's danger and remains willing to protect it despite its past treatment of her. 20 24

She is also timid and prone to overthinking around Su Baichen. When she burns dinner while distracted by worries about her tribe, she assumes he intends to abandon her and begs not to be sent away. 22

Her gentler qualities coexist with a mischievous, theatrical side.
