After reaching Dou Zun and confessing his love to Xuanyi, Su Baichen left Danta with Cao Ying and evaded a Soul Hall pursuit. In the desert, he rescued Caidie and helped her reconcile with the Snake-People Tribe, whose leaders came to seek his aid.

• Su Baichen broke through to one-star Dou Zun, accepted Cao Ying as his disciple, and joined Danta, where he gave her Foundation Establishment Spirit Liquid.
• Su Baichen optimized Fen Jue into the Shenyou Fire-Refining Art, then confessed his love to Xuanyi before departing with Cao Ying.

Su Baichen secured the Green Lotus Core Flame and helped Cailin prepare to evolve, while Cailin confessed her feelings and chose to pursue him. As Caidie began reconsidering her own affection, Su Baichen learned that Yun Yun had been captured and went to see her.

Su Baichen helped Cailin survive her evolution, then welcomed her back and prepared to leave the Snake-People Tribe with his companions. In Qingshan Town, he learned of a lone survivor from a poisoned village and suspected she was Xiao Yi Xian, while Cao Ying, Caidie, and Yun Yun set out to explore the town.

• Su Baichen persuaded Yun Yun to leave her old identity behind, restored her cultivation, and placed a restriction in her Dou Qi source after she agreed to serve him.
• Cailin underwent a deadly evolution under Su Baichen’s Heavenly Flame, appeared to die, then emerged as an Eight-Colored Heaven-Swallowing Python with her soul asleep inside it.
• Su Baichen named the newborn snake Xiao Cai, cared for it, and chose the Nine Heavens Spirit-Nurturing Art for Cailin while spending his discounted wealth on rare treasures and Zhansha.

• Yun Yun told Caidie how Su Baichen had rescued and cared for her, while Caidie wondered whether he had deeper feelings for her.
• Su Baichen recognized Xiao Yi Xian’s Woeful Poison Body, promised to help her control it, and accepted her as his disciple despite her guilt over poisoning her village.
