A sharp crack rang out as Gaia's dragon claw was caught. A fair hand gripped her arm. It looked utterly ordinary, yet Gaia couldn't move even an inch farther.
"You—you?"
Confusion flickered in Gaia's eyes. She felt the strength holding her arm and couldn't break free.
"Hmph!"
Ninisha let out a cold snort. Divine power surged within her, and a violent lightning shockwave gathered in her hand. A pale-blue streak plunged down in an instant, burrowing deep into the Mist Sea.
Gaia felt the world spin. An irresistible force came at her from every direction, and her body plummeted out of her control.
With a single move, Gaia—the Asura with a defensive Sovereign Artifact—was hurled away.
"How is this possible?"
At the sight, the pupils of the people behind Gaislesen contracted. The white-robed Patridge was especially shaken.
As an Asura who cultivated the Rules of Fate, Patridge was the fastest among the Sovereign Envoys. Yet just now, he hadn't even seen how Ninisha had done it.
"The Laws of Thunder are indeed suited to speed, but she shouldn't be this fast... Could it be—"
Patridge's face changed at once. He seemed to have realized something terrifying and hurried to send Gaislesen a message.
But he was already too late.
"You dared hurt Gaia! Ninisha, go to hell!"
Gaislesen roared and was the first to charge at Ninisha, turning into a watery-blue orb of light. A layer of cyan radiance appeared on his body as Water Sovereign Power surged.
"Take this!"
As Gaislesen moved, Gus, the White Tiger Clan Leader, Tiya, the Vermilion Bird Clan Leader, and Bowen, the Black Tortoise Clan Leader, charged after him. Crimson, pale-cyan, and earth-yellow Sovereign Power surged around them.
Ninisha's eyes shifted slightly at Gaislesen and Gus's approach. She raised her right hand, and a golden ripple spread out, forming what seemed like an enormous magnetic field.
"Bzzzz—"
Golden energy formed a huge sphere that instantly enveloped an area a hundred meters across. The two caught inside suddenly felt a tremendous pressure.
Gaislesen and Gus came to a halt, their speed sharply reduced. Even with Sovereign Power strengthening them, they could still feel their bodies creaking.
"You two, go sit this one out!"
Ninisha moved her right hand, and a long spear radiating Sovereign aura appeared. Its purple shadow instantly became two lightning shockwaves that slammed down on Gaislesen and Gus, driving their bodies into the ground.
Ninisha's movements seemed numerous, but they had all happened in a single instant. By the time everyone came to their senses, Gaislesen and Gus had already been knocked down.
"Clan Leader Tiya, Clan Leader Bowen, Ninisha is probably a Paragon! We're no match for her. We should order a retreat..."
Patridge, his face pale, quickly sent a warning to the only ones left, Tiya and Bowen.
Before becoming a Sovereign Envoy, Patridge had traveled through the Radiant Divine Realm and had once been fortunate enough to witness Clementine, the Light Paragon, in action. He knew well the difference between a Paragon and an ordinary Asura.
Realizing Ninisha was a Paragon, he immediately tried to persuade Tiya and Bowen to stay calm and order a retreat. Surely the other side would at least take the Four Divine Beasts Sovereign's standing into consideration.
"A Paragon High-God? So what? I refuse to believe all of us can't kill her!"
Tiya glared at Patridge, her eyes seeming to spit fire. Then red flames covered her body, and she shouted, "All members of the Four Divine Beasts Clan, hear my order! Use your Sovereign Power and Sovereign Artifacts. Kill!"
Tiya's voice rang across the heavens and earth. As soon as she finished speaking, halos of four different colors appeared one after another around the Seven-Star Fiend elders behind her. The terrifying power of Earth, Wind, Water, and Fire Sovereign Power blanketed the land.
"Kill! Kill her!"
"Defend the honor of the Four Divine Beasts Clan!"
The dizzying barrage of Sovereign Power attacks left Ninisha momentarily stunned. She truly hadn't expected the Four Divine Beasts Clan's Seven-Star Fiends to do something like this.
"Damn, does she have a screw loose?"
Patridge stared at the scene in disbelief, cursing Tiya as a lunatic in his mind. For a moment, he hesitated.
"Rumble—"
Two beams of light appeared over Ninisha's body. One was purple energy that condensed into tiny crystals, forming armor that fit perfectly over her skin.
As wave after wave of attacks surged toward Ninisha, their terrifying energy tore through the space around them, opening fissure after fissure.
Yet all the divine power seemed to vanish into the sea, stopped by the armor around Ninisha. Even the Asuras, who had to attack with utmost care, couldn't inflict any damage on her.
"Bzz—"
The next moment, a golden barrier erupted around Ninisha. Its terrifying ripples rapidly spread, covering a thousand miles in the blink of an eye. A sealed golden space enclosed everyone from the Four Divine Beasts Clan.
"What—what is this?"
Tiya, who had turned into a ball of fire, immediately felt pressure coming from every direction. For a moment, she could barely breathe.
"What is this? How can the Laws of Thunder have a move like this?"
Earth Chief God's Might quickly appeared around Kenuofei. He released the Gravity Space Profound Mystery, creating a space of his own that extended ten meters around him.
But Kenuofei was shocked to discover that although he was an Asura who specialized in the Gravity Space Profound Mystery of the Laws of the Earth, he was trapped, unable to move even an inch, inside the golden lightning space Ninisha had created.
"Damn, she's definitely a Paragon High-God! What are Gaislesen and the others thinking?"
Behind Kenuofei, the red-haired giant Hansen couldn't help cursing. A giant axe radiating Sovereign pressure appeared in his hand. A fire dragon coiled around him, and he dashed off to the side.
Felix and Caroline also looked shaken and sprang into action. One turned into a shadow and merged into the void, as though he had never been there. The other gained a green crescent moon on her forehead, translucent emerald wings appearing behind her as she soared into the sky.
At that moment, the five honorary elders of the Four Divine Beasts Clan could no longer worry about anything else. They only wanted to escape Ninisha's lightning space and save their own lives.
"Not one of you is getting away!"
Ninisha gave a cold snort and moved. She shot out as a purple streak at a speed no one could follow, passing straight by Tiya and Morei and rushing toward Kenuofei and the other four.
"Not good!"
Kenuofei's face changed. Earth-yellow Earth Chief God's Might surged wildly around him, and a powerful repulsive force emerged as he centered his Gravity Space on himself.
But Ninisha was simply too fast. Even though she slowed for an instant upon entering the Gravity Space, her speed remained unbelievable.
A pale-purple spear shadow flashed. Kenuofei stared blankly at the spearpoint before him. He hadn't even had time to take out his Offensive Sovereign Artifact when his eyes dimmed. His divine spark and space fell rapidly.
Kenuofei, Asura of the Laws of the Earth—dead!
And so, the slaughter began!
