Chang’an won the tournament, punished Sea God Island and the Clear Sky Sect, and then descended into civil war when Sikong Zhen rebelled against Wu Zetian. Wu Zetian’s allies assembled at Xuanwu Gate as Tang San’s group entered the Great Wall seeking The Ultimate.

  • Ye Han brought the Ice Empress, Snow Empress, and Xiao Bai to Chang’an as its champions won nineteen straight matches, ending with the Storm Dragon King defeating Di Tian.
  • Gu Yuena forfeited the final match and confronted Sikong Zhen about whether he or Chang’an had provoked her.

Arc 9Chang’an’s Nineteen Victories

Chang’an’s champions defeated a succession of powerful challengers, while Ye Han brought the Ice Empress, Snow Empress, and Xiao Bai into the city. After the Storm Dragon King secured Chang’an’s nineteenth straight victory, Gu Yuena forfeited the final match and confronted Sikong Zhen about the provocation.

  • Ye Han finished detoxifying the Snow Empress, and she, the Ice Empress, and Xiao Bai agreed to join Chang’an, and he promised to take the two empresses to the Ten-Thousand-Year Profound Ice Cave.
  • Donghuang Taiyi defeated the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King with his Eclipse Devourer, then the tournament reward healed him and raised his cultivation to level ninety-nine.
  • Haiyue overwhelmed Bibi Dong with her moon-disc attacks and Water Moon Illusion Realm, winning their match and receiving two hundred-thousand-year spirit ring upgrades.
  • Tang Chen and Bo Saixi challenged Lu Bu and Dolia in a doubles match, but Lu Bu’s attacks defeated them, and Sikong Zhen confiscated their treasures, including the Asura Demon Sword.
  • The Sky Screen rewarded Lu Bu and Dolia after their victory, and Sikong Zhen announced Di Tian’s match against Chang’an’s Storm Dragon King, Xiao Wang.

Arc 10Chang'an’s Judgment

Ye Han ended the tournament by punishing Sea God Island and the Clear Sky Sect for their attacks, then rewarded Chang'an’s allies with long-term training and awakened Divine Equipment. As Ye Han withdrew to seclusion, Wu Zetian and Shangguan Wan'er began planning to act in his absence.

  • Ye Han let Gu Yuena withdraw, declared Chang'an the winner of the tournament, and promised a grand prize to the first factions that had visited and competed.
  • Ye Han offered selected members of six factions five years of advanced cultivation in Chang'an, and Bai Chenxiang, Hu Liena, Ling Yuan, Xue Qinghe, Xue Ke, and Zhu Zhuyun were chosen to stay.
  • Bai Xiuxiu accused Bo Saixi and the Seven Sacred Pillars of slaughtering her clan, and the Sky Screen showed the attack as Ye Han ordered Sea God Island’s leaders arrested.
  • The King of Slaughter and the Clear Sky Sect intervened, but Wu Zetian defeated Bo Saixi, Tang Chen, Tang Hao, and the attackers, while Tang Chen was freed from the Blood-Red Nine-Headed Bat King.
  • Ye Han ordered the Clear Sky Sect leaders crippled and imprisoned, executed the Blood-Red Nine-Headed Bat King, and ordered Bo Saixi and the Sea Witch punished and Sea God Island’s members arrested.
  • After the tournament, Ye Han rejected Sikong Zhen’s proposal to unify the world and later promised Bai Xiuxiu he would find a way to revive her clan.

Arc 11Chang’an’s Civil War

Ye Han’s entanglements with Wu Zetian, Shangguan Wan’er, Wang Qiu’er, and Gu Yuena unfolded as Sikong Zhen launched a coup against Chang’an. With the heavenly Support Ranking empowering Sikong Zhen’s faction, Wu Zetian’s forces faced defeat while Tang San’s group headed for the city to seek The Ultimate.

  • Wu Zetian and Shangguan Wan’er drugged Ye Han, but he overcame the poison and later forgave them, while Sikong Zhen secretly prepared to seize control of Chang’an.
  • The Three-Eyed Golden Lion’s encounter with Ye Han bound their fates, transformed her into Wang Qiu’er, and led to Wang Qiu’er and Gu Yuena both choosing to be with him.
  • After Gu Yuena pledged loyalty to Ye Han and helped him reach Level 99, he entered seclusion while Sikong Zhen demanded that Chang’an’s factions submit or die.
  • Wu Zetian and Shangguan Wan’er opposed Sikong Zhen’s coup, but he summoned the Storm Dragon King and powerful Magic Beasts to support his rebellion.
  • Wu Zetian’s heroes and soldiers fought the Magic Beasts as she sent Hua Mulan and Jialuo for reinforcements and Han Xin to find an antidote for the poisoned factions.

Arc 12The Battle for Chang’an

Wu Zetian’s forces held out until the Great Wall Garrison and a stream of powerful allies arrived to face Sikong Zhen’s army. Their reinforcements clashed at Xuanwu Gate, beginning the civil war for Chang’an.

  • Lu Bu used Dolia’s Heavenly Sound to refresh his ultimate and struck the Shadow Tyrant down, while Donghuang Taiyi and Haiyue restrained the Dominators.
  • Hua Mulan and Jialuo summoned the Great Wall Garrison, but Sikong Zhen and the Storm Dragon King began their fusion skill as Wu Zetian’s forces fell back to defend.
  • Sikong Zhen and the Storm Dragon King unleashed Nine Sons of the Dragon, and Bian Que, Han Xin, and Li Bai arrived to aid Wu Zetian’s poisoned fighters.
