The Virtual World's massive Soul Arena was about to host its largest match yet.
Twenty first-year students would face off against five upperclassmen, with one representative each from the second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth years.
The second year's strongest student was Yuan Rui, whose Martial Soul was the Lightning Leopard. He was a Soul King and a One-Word Battle Armor Master.
The third year's strongest student was Sima Xian, whose Martial Soul was the Dark Gold Skeleton King. He was a Soul King and a One-Word Battle Armor Master.
The fourth year's strongest student was Liu Baoqing, whose Martial Soul was the Seven Treasure Blade. He was a Soul Emperor and a One-Word Battle Armor Master.
The gap between the fifth- and sixth-year students was on an entirely different level compared with the gaps between the earlier years.
The fifth year's representative was Hua Linhan, whose mutated Martial Soul was the Sun Man-Eating Flower. He was a Soul Saint and a Two-Word Battle Armor Master. The sixth year's representative was Zheng Longjiang—the strongest of them all—a Soul Douluo and a Three-Word Battle Armor Master.
One by one, they took the stage. To be honest, it was their first time participating in such a grand Soul Fighting match.
Not only had the entire Outer Court turned out to watch, but many Inner Court students had come as well. Even Ling Zichen, the Sea God Pavilion Master and honorary master; the vice masters; Elder Shu, head of the Life School; and Ye Yinghong, the Outer Court's dean, were all present.
