Background / History

Dong Qianqiu initially grows up without memories of her past and is known at the academy as a hardworking commoner student from an orphanage. Her true history is connected to Sea God Island: she was born as Bai Paopao, a young Demon Soul Great White Shark sheltered by Poseidon and her parents. The memories associated with that identity cause her intense pain when Chen Ming recounts them. 33 34 96

After Chen Ming reveals that Di Qiu'er is the Lord of Soul Beasts, Dong Qianqiu accepts their invitation to join them. Her wish for the power to avenge her mother—and ultimately oppose Tang San—drives the decision. She chooses Battle Armor design as her sub-profession and begins cultivating alongside Chen Ming and Di Qiu'er. 35

Her power rises sharply after the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well expedition. Chen Ming helps her obtain the Ice Dragon King spirit soul, evolving her martial soul, then gives her the means to fuse with a Fire Dragon King spirit soul and gain Twin Martial Souls.
