Background / History

Bai Lan contracted Qingzhu when she was a ten-year-old Guzhu standing alone at the edge of the Soul Beast Forest. Though she initially possessed only a faint, unawakened consciousness, the contract established a mental bond and allowed Bai Lan to share her basic plant abilities. 2

She accompanied Bai Lan through his earliest cultivation, evolving from Guzhu into Iron Core Bamboo, Arrow Bamboo, and Tiangang Bamboo. By the time Bai Lan considered finding a compatible same-origin bamboo for her, he regarded her not as a combat asset but as the companion who had remained by his side the longest. 11 20 46

After reaching 100,000 years, Tiangang Bamboo took human form. Bai Lan named her Qingzhu for her cyan-green hair and bamboo nature; she accepted the name gladly and expressed that remaining with him mattered more to her than any future fusion. 57 58

Qingzhu later fused with the Gold of Life, becoming the 700,000-year Goddess of Life. She continued evolving through Bai Lan's Contract Book, ultimately awakening an Ancient Life God Pulse and reaching the peak quasi-god level. 79 102 155

Qingzhu's humanoid form has a graceful, life-filled presence that contrasts with the colder auras of Bai Lan's other Contract Beasts. Her aura can melt surrounding ice and snow through its vitality alone. 57
