By Liu Yuan’s early Body Sect training, Du Busi has become his master and is astonished to find that the disciple has reached level 27 after only a month. Following the Yaluo City battle, he praises not merely Liu Yuan’s combat achievements but his courage in risking his life to save fellow disciples 26 30.

Du Busi protects Liu Yuan during his third-ring absorption, provides the Great Evolution Body Refining Technique, and arranges a ten-thousand-year Ice Ape battle to test his growth. Liu Yuan’s victory forces him to reassess how much his disciple can accomplish 35 36 37.

In the Extreme North, he encounters Huo Yuhao and attempts to bring the Spirit Eye possessor into the Body Sect. Huo Yuhao’s refusal to abandon Shrek ultimately causes Du Busi to back down rather than force the junior to join 39 40.

Recruitment Dispute with Shrek

When Elder Chen reports that Ling Luochen’s group tried to recruit Liu Yuan, Du Busi prepares to leave immediately for Shrek. Elder Chen stops him by pointing out the political dangers and the importance of Liu Yuan’s wishes 51 52.
