Background / History
Tang San founded the Tang Sect and later ascended to the God Realm, where he became a dual-office God King through the Sea God and Asura God divine positions. In his early God Realm years, he lacked full command of his new powers; after decades of development, he had mastered them and no longer feared the first-generation Angel God and Rakshasa God as he once had. 4 6
By the beginning of the story, Tang San is monitoring Huo Yuhao, whom he considers Douluo Planet's Child of Destiny. He sees Huo's growing fortune as an opportunity to strengthen the latter's karmic connection to the Tang family and Tang Sect. 1
Tang San's initial plan has three stages: bring Huo Yuhao's mother to the God Realm, guide Huo into the Tang Sect and Shrek Academy, then arrange for Xiao Qi to meet him while disguised as a boy. Huo Yuhao's refusal to follow the intended path repeatedly forces Tang San to revise the plan. 2 5 88
Personality
Tang San is highly controlling and views Huo Yuhao's future as something to be arranged, cultivated, and ultimately claimed for the Tang family. He treats personal relationships, sect membership, and divine opportunities as tools for binding Huo Yuhao's fate to the Tang Sect. 88 91 110
He is confident in his own judgment and repeatedly frames his plans as the product of superior wisdom. When Huo Yuhao deviates from expectations, Tang San does not abandon his goal; instead, he revises his plans and increases intervention. 1 88 114
Tang San reacts poorly to interference and criticism, especially from the God of Destruction. Despite invoking harmony and God Realm rules during disputes, he is accused by other gods of secretly manipulating lower-realm events. 5 89
