Background / History

Tang Ya became the Tang Sect's sect master after her parents died. She concealed their graves near Tiandu City and carries a personal desire to take revenge on the Iron Blood Sect. The circumstances of her earlier escape with Beibei are treated as suspicious: Beibei was only a three-ring Soul Master at the time, yet he brought her out from the pursuit of an Iron Blood Sect Soul King. 111 114 115

By the time she meets Huo Yuhao near the Star Dou Forest, the Tang Sect has fallen into severe decline. Eager to restore it, she repeatedly attempts to recruit Huo Yuhao and Xiao Wu, offering Tang Sect techniques and a route into Shrek Academy. 4 5 8

At Shrek Academy, Tang Ya and Jiang Nannan begin selling sanitary pads to raise reconstruction funds. Their initial sales earn nearly 1,000 gold coins, relieving some of Tang Ya's financial pressure and giving her renewed hope for the sect's revival. 21 87
