Stronger Opponent

"Oh, you mean Abomination?"

Hearing Nick Fury's explanation, Fang Mo instantly recalled the Hulk storyline. "That soldier named Blonsky, right? After witnessing Hulk's strength, he suddenly decided he didn't want to be human anymore or something..."

"You really do know a lot."

Nick Fury gave Fang Mo a long look. As someone with countless secrets, he truly disliked dealing with someone like Fang Mo, who seemed to know everything.

He even had the illusion that Fang Mo knew he was secretly researching the Tesseract.

"I don't think the Military can necessarily subdue this monster."

As if confirming Nick Fury's suspicions, Fang Mo spoke again soon afterward. "Your equipment is far more advanced than the Military's. When the time comes, are you really not going to help clean up their mess?"

"...The Military is currently working out a plan."

Nick Fury silently glanced at Fang Mo. "Their preliminary plan is to release Hulk and have him deal with the newly emerged monster—the Abomination, as you call it. But honestly, I have absolutely no confidence in those idiots from the Military."

"If the Military fails, can I make a move?"

Fang Mo asked with a smile, "You're probably still reluctant to use those energy weapons, aren't you?"

"So you really do know about that!"

Nick Fury's gaze instantly sharpened. Other matters were one thing, but the Tesseract was far too important to him. "Who exactly are you? What do you want?"

"I already told you, I'm just a Stand User."

Fang Mo rolled his eyes. "If I really had any designs on the Space Stone, I'd have tunneled underground and dug my way to it ages ago, okay? Would I still be waiting around now?"

Fang Mo was not joking about that. He might not have known the exact coordinates of the S.H.I.E.L.D. base, but he had the MiniMap Mod. That thing had a cave radar. Nick Fury had built such a huge underground laboratory for the Tesseract that if Fang Mo passed anywhere nearby, he would spot something suspicious on the map immediately.

"Space Stone? What is that?" Nick Fury froze. "Another name for the Tesseract?"

"You don't trust me, so why should I tell you?"

Fang Mo simply rolled his eyes again.

"If the situation gets out of control, I can allow you to make a move, but only to prevent matters from worsening and to protect civilians," Nick Fury said. "But first, you must tell me how much you know about the Tesseract."

"The Tesseract's real name is the Space Stone... and there are at least five more things in the universe as badass as it."

Fang Mo clapped his hands. "All right, I'm done. By the way, haven't we arrived already? They're fighting up ahead."

The helicopter had reached the area near Broadway. Flames rose into the sky several blocks away, and panicked crowds were everywhere. Gunfire and explosions echoed from afar. The Military was clearly battling something, but thick smoke and dust obscured the view, making it impossible to see clearly.

But soon, an armored vehicle suddenly flew out of the smoke and crashed straight into a storefront. A deafening boom rang out, and panic began spreading once more.

"You said there are at least five Space Stones in the universe?"

Nick Fury's brows immediately furrowed at that. "You call them Space Stones. Do these stones possess some kind of ability to transport between one another? Like portals? Could they attract aliens..."

Before Nick Fury could finish, Fang Mo had already vanished from his seat.

"Motherfucker!"

Nick Fury immediately cursed.

With a boss fight about to begin, Fang Mo had no interest in arguing with Nick Fury.

Using the Ender Hand's teleportation ability to leave the aircraft, he appeared directly on a nearby rooftop. He was already very close to the center of the battlefield.

Looking down from the rooftop, people fled in every direction amid screams and cries. Countless vehicles were jammed chaotically across the streets. Not far away, a huge yellow-green figure slowly advanced, destroying everything in its path. Cars and people alike were reduced to scraps flying through the air, making the entire street as terrifying as hell.

After seeing everything with his own eyes, Fang Mo realized that Abomination seemed even more brutal than he had been portrayed in the movie.

Unlike Hulk's rage, this thing displayed an utterly unrestrained cruelty. Soldiers and police officers were desperately attacking him to protect civilians, but bullets only made clanging sounds when they struck his body.

He casually grabbed a soldier, exerted slight force with both hands around the man's waist, and tore him in half with a wet rip. The soldier was not even dead yet, struggling and screaming desperately. But the blood and organs splashing across Abomination's body only made him reveal an excited, savage grin.

This was the true Abomination.

A terrifying monster whose heart was filled with the desire for destruction.

Two soldiers raised rocket launchers and pulled the triggers. Flames roared as a rocket flew straight toward Abomination.

But Abomination suddenly raised a hand and caught the rocket directly. The next second, his fingers tightened. With a thunderous boom, flames swallowed him, only to disperse immediately and reveal the monster completely unharmed within.

"Hehehe..."

Abomination looked at the soldiers and revealed a cruel smile. The next second, he broke into a direct charge.

It carried the force of an armored truck at full speed. Every vehicle and piece of debris along the way was hurled into the sky. The two soldiers were terrified out of their wits and immediately drove their armored vehicle backward.

But Abomination clearly was not using his full strength.

He was completely immersed in his overwhelming power. Even while pursuing the two soldiers, he was mostly enjoying the pleasure of a cat playing with mice.

Once he grew tired of playing, it would be time for those two soldiers to die.

Soon, the armored vehicle driven by the two soldiers ran into a traffic jam and became stuck in place.

Seeing this, the pursuing Abomination gave a cruel smile. He then stomped on a taxi beside him, flipping it over with the impact. Abomination grabbed the car with both hands and raised it overhead, roaring at the military camera mounted on the armored vehicle ahead, "Go! Find me a stronger opponent!"

With that, he viciously hurled the car forward.

But at that exact instant, purple light flashed and vanished.

"Are you sure?"

As the voice suddenly rang out, the car that had been flying forward abruptly stopped in midair.

Abomination froze for a moment. To his surprise, the car suddenly smashed back toward him. Its wheels in particular rolled viciously across his face.

Just as Abomination was being hit in the face by the car, a hum rang out. Countless purple motes erupted ahead, and a black figure appeared out of thin air.

"A stronger opponent has arrived."

Fang Mo's calm voice echoed across the entire street.
