When Thor walked toward the Destroyer Armor alone, Jane Foster noticed.
After he was sent flying, she immediately broke free of Dr. Selvig's grip and rushed toward Thor. The Asgardian Warriors noticed as well, and the group all charged toward Thor, hoping to save him.
But someone attentive noticed the Destroyer Armor's strange movement.
It was Daisy Lewis.
She had only been worried that the thing might suddenly turn around and fire more lasers, but after watching it for a moment, she realized that the Destroyer Armor seemed to be staring at something.
Following its gaze, Daisy Lewis spotted a man holding a massive blade.
"Who... is that?"
Daisy could not help asking the Asgardian Warriors, "Do you have other companions here too?"
"Our companions?"
Fandral, whose injuries were relatively light, looked up and spotted Fang Mo in the distance. He froze. "Huh? Isn't he one of you Midgardians?"
"What?"
Daisy was stunned.
"Danger!" Hogun hurriedly shouted from the other side. He had naturally seen the weapon in the man's hand. The man was probably some kind of warrior, but this was Earth. No matter how strong a mortal warrior was, could he really be stronger than an Asgardian Warrior like him? Even he had been no match for the Destroyer Armor. This mortal would only be throwing his life away. "Get out of there! You're no match for that thing—"
Before Hogun could finish, the Destroyer Armor's faceplate suddenly opened, and a laser capable of incinerating everything instantly shot toward Fang Mo.
Seeing this, almost no one dared imagine what would happen next.
Sif and Daisy even closed their eyes in anguish.
That was armor personally forged by God-King Odin. Forget surviving that terrifying laser—leaving behind an intact corpse would have been nothing more than a fantasy for a mortal.
But what happened next left everyone dumbfounded.
Just as the laser was about to hit him, an invisible ripple suddenly appeared in midair and blocked it.
Then the man suddenly raised one hand toward the Destroyer Armor. His palm seemed to contain some powerful force of attraction, and the Destroyer Armor flew helplessly toward him. At the same time, he raised the purple greatblade in his hand and brought it down on the armor.
With a deafening clang, the Destroyer Armor spun through the air and crashed into a nearby building.
"W-What!?"
Everyone's eyes widened at the sight.
The Asgardian Warriors in particular were utterly shaken. Everything they had believed and known was completely overturned in that instant.
A mortal had knocked the Destroyer Armor down with a single slash?
What kind of joke was that? The few of them had fought desperately for so long without managing to harm it at all, yet this Midgardian had sent it flying with one blow?
Even Volstagg thought his injuries had become so severe that he was hallucinating...
As for the Midgardian in everyone's eyes... that was Fang Mo.
At that moment, he was inspecting the Manyullyn Cleaver in his hand.
Although the cleaver had been brought into reality, it had originally belonged to Tinkers' Construct. To test some of its traits, Fang Mo had specifically given it Unbreaking V, which meant that the weapon possessed the attribute of being "indestructible."
But Fang Mo did not know whether that attribute had carried over into the real world.
That was why the opening scene had happened.
Fang Mo had used the Destroyer Armor to test the weapon in his hand.
The results proved that even after clashing violently with Uru metal, the hardest metal in the divine realm, the Manyullyn Cleaver in his hand had not chipped or suffered any damage whatsoever.
"Looks like attributes can be brought into reality too..."
After inspecting the cleaver, Fang Mo nodded thoughtfully.
Just then, the building in the distance suddenly exploded. Amid billowing smoke, the Destroyer Armor walked out completely unscathed.
It was Odin's armor, after all. Its durability was clearly absurd as well.
But that suited Fang Mo perfectly.
"Finally found something that can fight."
Fang Mo grinned excitedly. Since returning to the Marvel world, he had developed plenty of new moves, yet he had not found a single opponent worth fighting. He had been bored to death.
Back on the server, he had already been a god of war. Now that he had awakened Stand-in Steve, his battle instincts had been fully unleashed. Compared to boring crafting and flipping through crafting recipes, personally beating down these movie bosses was far more satisfying.
As for the Destroyer Armor...
It was the rare kind of villain who let its fists do the talking.
It made no unnecessary moves. After stepping out of the flames, it immediately fired a laser at Fang Mo.
Purple light flashed at Fang Mo's fingertips, and the ground beneath the Destroyer Armor began to tremble. The next second, countless rocks, sand, and soil squeezed in from every direction, instantly sealing it inside a huge sphere of stone.
But the stone sphere's surface quickly began to glow red. Terrifying heat burst from within, turning the rock into scorching lava that spilled back onto the ground. The Destroyer struggled its way out.
But it had barely emerged halfway when Fang Mo hurled the Manyullyn Cleaver in his hand at it.
With a tremendous bang, the Destroyer Armor's helmet was split cleanly in two. Yet the armor plates quickly began repairing themselves. Just as when Sif had nailed it to the ground earlier, the repaired Destroyer Armor continued crawling out, soon breaking free from the sphere of lava. It grabbed the cleaver lodged in its head, pulled it out, and tossed it aside.
Fang Mo nodded instinctively at the sight.
Perhaps that was one of the Destroyer Armor's traits: it could resist physical attacks to a certain extent.
But... that only made things better.
With a thought, Fang Mo's Stand-in Steve also swung a blade at the Destroyer Armor. The Destroyer stiffened slightly, and another slash mark appeared across its chest.
Sensing the attack, the Destroyer Armor slowly lowered its head and aimed its face at Steve, preparing to fire a laser.
Fang Mo curled a finger, activating the Ender Field. A patch of ground beneath the Destroyer Armor suddenly rose at high speed, throwing the laser off target. It grazed Steve's scalp and shot toward the street in the distance.
The Destroyer lifted its head and looked at Fang Mo, beginning to charge another laser.
But the next second, the giant cleaver lying on the ground was suddenly enveloped in purple light and floated into the air on its own. Its blade aimed at the Destroyer Armor's back and stabbed forward like lightning. With a sharp screech, the purple edge burst through its chest. Before the Destroyer Armor could react, a fierce wind rushed at it. Fang Mo had already descended from the sky with a warhammer in hand, and the massive hammer came crashing down on its head.
With a thunderous boom, the entire town seemed to shake. The ground beneath the Destroyer Armor instantly shattered, forming an enormous crater.
