What... do you want to guess what this "C" stands for?
A few days later, in a somewhat dim reception hall somewhere.
"So, according to what you mean..." The one-eyed man in a cowboy hat sat on a stool, his tone somewhat strange. "You want to hire us mercenaries to deal with monsters?"
"That's right."
Integra slowly nodded. "More precisely, what you need to deal with are the vampires of legend."
"Huh? Vampires?"
Yet upon hearing this, the mercenaries behind the one-eyed man burst into laughter. "Rich people in London really are something, spending huge sums on something that doesn't even exist."
"Yeah, it's downright stupid."
"Aren't those things from fairy tales meant to scare children?"
They were mercenaries who lived with blades at their throats. Even though Integra was their employer, they made no effort to hide their mockery, and the entire hall was immediately filled with cheerful air.
"That's enough. Stop laughing for now."
Fortunately, the one-eyed young man leading them called them to order before looking at Integra. "Are you sure these things really exist?"
"It is merely that you do not know about them."
Before outsiders, Integra carried herself with imposing authority. "More precisely... we deliberately kept you from knowing. We are Hellsing, the Royal Order of Protestant Knights founded a hundred years ago. The truth behind our long years of secret activity is that we eliminate these monsters while burying all evidence of their existence."
"They do not age or die as long as they drink blood."
"Throw silver items and Holy Water at them, then drive white oak stakes through their hearts, finally cut off their heads and burn them to ashes. That is our work."
"Of course."
At the end, Integra calmly adjusted her glasses. "You may consult fairy tales if you wish."
