First Appearance Chapter 25 25

Background

Nora spent her early childhood in the Human Empire's Imperial Capital. Human traffickers captured her and her mother and transported them toward the border, but her mother enabled Nora's escape. Nora eventually fled to Chaos City, where she survived as a homeless orphan for seven or eight years. 45

As a half-orc, Nora learned to conceal her Cat-kin traits because of pervasive hostility toward Orcs. She hid her ears beneath hats, carried a dagger for protection, and used Ink-dye Flower juice to darken her naturally light-red eyes. 40 41 51 54

While living on the streets, Nora overheard a plan to rob Ron's flower shop and attacked the thieves before they could enter. Though injured in the encounter, she refused Ron's initial offer to rest inside. 25 26

Ron later offered her a position after learning that she was illiterate and worried that the recruitment notice excluded her race. Nora revealed her cat ears and half-orc identity rather than risk being rejected after accepting the job. Ron hired her as his first employee, and she signed a three-year contract for ten silver coins per week. 40 41 44

Appearance

Nora is a petite, thin Cat-kin girl who initially concealed herself beneath a tattered robe and hat. After beginning work at the Flower Shop, she cleaned up and adopted a simple staff uniform. 40 44

  • Shoulder-length purple hair. 44
  • Cat ears, initially concealed beneath a work cap or hat. 40 42
  • A cat tail, usually hidden beneath her clothing. 119 264
  • Naturally light-red eyes, which she darkens with Ink-dye Flower juice to pass as human. 41 54
  • Initially wore a white long-sleeved shirt, loose ankle-length dress, and a cap designed not to press on her ears. 42 44

Personality

Nora is cautious, self-reliant, and quick to defend herself. Years of homelessness left her habitually alert, armed, and suspicious of kindness that might vanish once others discovered her heritage. She nevertheless acts decisively when someone she values is threatened, as shown by her preemptive attack on the thieves targeting Ron's shop. 25 41 51

She is diligent to an extreme. On her first day, she cleaned the shop rather than remain idle; later, she washed Ron's clothes, cleaned the second floor, and deliberately avoided entering his private bedroom or handling his intimate belongings. 44 54

Although initially shy and insecure about her race, education, and place beside Ron, Nora continually seeks ways to improve herself. She asks to learn reading, studies the Flower Shop's products, learns business negotiation, and pursues management work because she wants to share Ron's burdens rather than remain dependent on him. 59 60 119 212 301
