The instant the figure appeared, he swung his blade down and cut off Obito's right arm. Shisui's long sword came slashing down right after it.
But, clearly, the other person had vanished from the spot once again.
"That technique—it's the Flying Thunder God Jutsu!" Kakashi cried out.
"You guessed right!"
Clone Sora's voice rang out behind Shisui. Before he even spoke, one hand had already reached for Shisui's ninja tool pouch.
His target was the glass bottle containing the Kamui Mangekyo.
"Bang!"
Shisui swung his long sword sideways, sending Clone Sora flying with a single strike. If not for the shuriken Shisui had used to block, the clone would have been cut in half.
"Vmm..."
The three Tomoe spun, and Shisui's Mangekyō Sharingan activated in an instant.
"Did I fail? Still, I achieved my main objective. Goodbye, everyone!"
Just before the Mangekyō activated, Clone Sora grabbed Obito's arm with one hand, held a kunai in the other, and vanished from the spot.
"Huff, huff!"
Shisui gasped for breath as he deactivated his Mangekyō. Tonight, he had used up far too much Chakra and ocular power.
Kakashi stood nearby, his face full of shock. "How is it possible that he knows our teacher's Flying Thunder God Jutsu?"
Fugaku, who had spent the whole night doing little more than watching from the sidelines, walked over and picked up a rock. He looked down at the dead rat beneath it. The formula read: "Uzumaki Sora." Uzumaki?
Kakashi frowned. "Our teacher once said that in all of Konoha's history, only the Second Hokage and our teacher had learned the Flying Thunder God Jutsu. Who was that person? Uzumaki Sora?"
After glancing around, Shisui put away his long sword. "He wasn't very strong—not even as strong as an average Chunin specializing in Taijutsu. If things hadn't been so urgent, that last strike would have injured him even if he'd blocked it."
Fugaku frowned deeply. After thinking it over, he said, "We'll report this to Lord Hokage afterward. This involves the Uzumaki Clan, and there's also the matter of what that guy's right arm can do. There's too much at stake."
Masked Obito, who had just lowered his head and recovered, began to laugh darkly.
"Heh heh heh... That guy just now, right? Red hair, a member of the Uzumaki Clan—Uzumaki Sora!"
"He's the one who gave you my information, isn't he? I never thought there'd still be someone hiding in the shadows in this world. Do you want to know what my right arm is for?"
"Uchiha Shisui, the reason I can use Wood Release is that right arm! The Uzumaki Clan was once a clan that intermarried with the Senju for generations. They're famous for their red hair, long lives, Sealing Jutsu, and large Chakra reserves. He came for the First Hokage's power—the power of the man known as the God of Shinobi."
Obito's words left the others stunned.
Fortunately, before Obito spoke, the three Tomoe in Fugaku's eyes had begun to turn. The two medical ninjas hadn't heard any of it, caught as they were in the genjutsu.

Fugaku struck with his palm, physically knocking out the now eyeless Obito.
"From here on, Lord Fourth will question him. Our mission is to escort him back to the Military Police Force and ensure his safety!"
Shisui and Kakashi nodded in turn. Both were geniuses, and both had fought in the Third Shinobi World War.
The surname Uzumaki concerned more than just the First Hokage's wife, Mito Uzumaki. The dead were gone, but it also concerned the current Hokage, the Fourth, Namikaze Minato—and his wife, Kushina Uzumaki!
Deep in the dark woods, a figure appeared silently atop a towering tree.
"Hiss!"
Clone Sora sucked in a breath as he looked at the wrist holding his kunai. It was swollen!
A clone's overall strength changed along with the original's. At a little over five years old, compared to Shisui's Taijutsu, escaping with his life without being cut in two was already lucky.
If not for the Flying Thunder God's element of surprise and his near-zero reaction time, that second attempt to reach out would have been the clone's last.
Still, the haul wasn't bad. With his current strength, the clone didn't have what it took to steal anything from either Orochimaru's lab or Danzo's Root.
The Flying Thunder God was useful, but he still needed enough attack power to back it up. Minato's strength and Rasengan were both beyond what he could manage right now.
An arm made from Hashirama Body Material was the perfect choice!
"Bang!"
A cloud of smoke rose as the arm was sealed into a small scroll.
Next, he would have to go outside, take on dangerous missions, and gain combat experience. That was another one of his weaknesses.
In the original story, the final boss at the end wasn't Kaguya but Madara. Who knew—maybe Sasuke and Naruto would have been killed by Madara.
Not one of the shinobi who fought their way through the Warring States Period had failed to experience countless battles. Kaguya, on the other hand, was so clueless that even the Reverse Harem Jutsu had left her stunned for two seconds.
If her devoted son Black Zetsu hadn't kept running his mouth beside her, she probably would've been sealed again in no time.
Sora rubbed his forehead. It wasn't just combat experience he needed to build up—he also had the responsibility of earning money to support his family.
This was hard!
October 10. The night of the Nine Tails Incident passed peacefully. The bustling night market gradually quieted beneath the night sky, and the future began to change from that day onward.
"Creak..."
The door opened. Izumi rubbed her eyes and asked, "Why aren't you asleep yet, big brother?"
Yun looked up at the calm night sky. "It's almost dawn. I couldn't sleep, so I came out to look at the stars. What about you, Izumi? Did you wet the bed again?"
Izumi's face instantly turned red. Pouting, she said, "I stopped wetting the bed two years ago, okay? You're so annoying, bringing that up!"
Yun tilted his head and thought for a moment. "Back when we slept together, before we turned three, I almost thought we'd ended up in a swimming pool."
"Come to think of it, one morning last year, you secretly whispered something to Mother. Then all our sheets and bedding got washed. You must've wet the bed and then asked Mother to wash everyone's bedding, right?"
Yun smacked his lips. "You're pretty clever. That way, nobody would know you wet the bed."
Yun's words made Izumi's little face turn redder and redder. Enraged, she suddenly pounced on him and opened her mouth to bite.
"Whoosh!"
Unfortunately, Yun vanished from the spot in an instant. Izumi's bite at his ear missed, and she nearly fell over, but Yun caught her from behind.
"So fast! Big brother, you're amazing!" Izumi looked astonished.
Uchiha Yun reached out and ruffled her little head. "This is a secret, okay? You can't tell anyone, Izumi."
Izumi nodded earnestly, then tugged at Yun's sleeve. "Big brother, I feel like you've changed a lot today. You smile more, too."
Yun gazed at the first rays of dawn on the distant horizon and smiled.
The fate of his family of three had changed. With the Fourth still alive, the chances of the Uchiha Clan Massacre were now at their lowest.
And as of yesterday, he'd already gained the beginnings of the ability to protect his family in this world. He would only grow stronger from here!
"Today, big brother will go practice shuriken with you!"
"Okay!"
(Note: Obito's Mangekyō has been gouged out, so several story branches will open up. I can't decide which one to choose yet.)
(Was the Fourth Mizukage already being controlled at this point? There's a scene in the TV series where Obito takes Pain and Konan to Kirigakure. Working backward from that, Hanzo must already be dead, and Yahiko is dead too.)
(If Obito's Mangekyō was gouged out, would the genjutsu on Yagura also be lifted?)
(There have always been two versions in the information about Kirigakure's Bloody Mist Village. One says the Third Mizukage started the Blood Mist Policy, and Zabuza helped Yagura take power and set things right after graduating. Then Obito controlled him and created an even bloodier Bloody Mist Village.)
(Version two: the Third Mizukage was an irrelevant figure, and the Bloody Mist Village was created after the Fourth Mizukage, Yagura, was controlled. Yagura must have become the Fourth after Rin's death, because Isobu was inside Rin at the time.)
(Zabuza's graduation date: In the manga, Kakashi says during the Land of Waves mission that Zabuza, who graduated the previous year, changed Kirigakure's graduation method ten years ago. In other words, eleven years ago!)
(That means Zabuza graduated the year after Naruto was born, and Kirigakure's Bloody Mist had already existed before then.)
